HP ProBook Installer 6.1: 4x30s and 4x40s support

That mean we can install fresh 10.8, run 10.8.4 combo update (or latest combo), restart then run Probook installer?

If you were going to install a fresh 10.8.4, just download 10.8.4 from the Mac App Store, create Unibeast USB and start from there.

Hello Guys, seems to freeze OS on wake up after sleep or after no action for 20 minutes, on click and on enter password this just freeze, and need to keep pressed the shutdown button, after start again on boot this show a message in black screen very quickly with something "incorrect .... ".

Someone has the same issue with the latest ProBook Installer ?

Thanks a lot.

Corrupt sleepimage issue? Try 'sleep image fix' in ProBook Installer (which gets rid of sleepimage and turns it off; good for SSDs). Then try 'sleep image restore' if you want to add it back.

First off, I want to thank all of the major players in creating the HP Installer 6.1 as well as all of the testers. It worked well for both of our ProBooks. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Something to consider for the next version of the ProBook Installer:

Currently we have support for 10.6.8, 10.7.x (where x is 0-5), 10.8.x (where x is 0-4). Testing all these versions is a burden and the burden gets greater with each release of OS X. We should consider dropping support all but the latest of each version. In other words, supporting only 10.6.8, 10.7.5, 10.8.4. So far, with the latest installer, that's all I have tested. Although I have the ability to test all the 10.8.x versions, I do not have the ability to test anything in 10.7.x except 10.7.5.

I can't think of a reason to support anything but the latest of each major version. Comments?

My gut reaction is that perhaps testing the inaugural edition (i.e., 10.7.0) for Lion might be useful as some people might have purchased it on a USB drive, not having bought it from from the App Store. To my knowledge, Apple only sold the 10.7.0 version on USB drives. Please correct me if I am wrong.

They would just do combo update to 10.7.5 before running the ProBook Installer just after reaching the desktop...

Good point. It was the only possible exception I could think of, so I offered it. I suppose few, if any, would not have access to a combo updater, so requiring it does not seem like a hardship.

They would probably download it and place it on USB before even starting the install, so network access is not a concern. Combo updates are free on apple.com, so I don't think this is an issue.

+1 on this, I always download the latest combo update and place it on the Unibeast USB drive before I do any fresh install, so not an issue.

Updated to the latest 6.1 Probook Installer on my existing 10.8.4 installation. All good here.
