Of course everyone is curious to see what is different. Difference is that the new MB AIr is built and released with its own special build of 10.8.4 that supports Intel Haswell. There is no reason for Apple to release Haswell support across the board for any other Apple unit as none are built with Haswell CPU's yet.

But if I buy a MacBook Air and I make something wrong and I need to format my PC what kind of ML I must install to get it run, in Apple's opinion? Must I wait until the Mavericks release?

See post #31.

Any idea when ATI HD7000 series is going to be fully supported? I can't even boot using the onboard HD4000 unless my 7870 is physically unplugged from the PCI Express slot and the enabling iGPU as primary doesnt work either. Thanks.

So out of curiosity, if I install this new chimera on my copy of 10.8.2 I can properly use my ATI HD7470M card? Ive been stuck with having 1024x800 graphics since the install, and it would be great to have some better resolution.

Everybody seems to be confused about HD7XXX, including me.

What i understand is, now chimera knows what gfx model/series you have installed. That's it.
This means it is not booting properly without "workarounds" and "fixes".

so, credits for the kernel?

This is a bootloader- it doesn't deliver a system kernel.

Chimera 2.1.0 works fine for me, but i can't log-in in iMessage app anymore. Maybe a fix in future?

thanks

Have a 10.8.4 installed from another system running fine,

Mirrored that install onto a new SSD for the new machine.

Z87-UD5H
i7 4770K
EVGA 8800GTS

Loaded Chimera V2.0.1 onto a USB and booted from that into the mirror of 10.8.4

Apple white logo appears but wont load, stays in that screen without the spinning loading symbol

Any ideas?
