Shaky screen on grey background

I have tried changing resolutions, color profiles, Graphic Glitch Fix is installed, and Radeon graphics disabled in BIOS.

But still for some reason, when on grey background (and sometimes white), screen is a bit shaky on those areas that have these colors, such as here in this forum. Also sometimes when I open a new message in Mail.app, I get the graphic glitches (multicolored random blocks covering the emails).

I don't know if it's a hardware problem (when I was using Windows recently didn't notice any of these issues).

Does anybody know if this can be fixed and how? I'm using the standard (low resolution) screen.

The flickering that appears on grey colored background is caused by the particular display that we have in 4530s (unless you upgraded your display to the full hd one), as far as I remember it happens on Windows as well. It's not an OS-specific issue, it's just the display being cheap nad poorly made.

Not for me, in windows it doesn't happen or is way less noticeable.

Yes, I agree that in Windows is less noticeable, even now when I use Windows as virtual machine is not that bad.

If hardware is really the issue, then perhaps at some point I should upgrade my screen to an HD one, but I would like some more feedback on this if possible, before I start spending money on my Probook again.

I see it on my 1080p AUOv4 display. It is more obvious on higher brightness and it comes and goes. I see it usually just below the grey "menu bar" on this website and the flickering is very easy to see in Blackmagic Disk Speed Test.

I wonder if it has something to do with the way the display cable is routed physically very close to the power cables. Next time I have my laptop apart I might take some time and see if I can isolate one cable from the other.

Is your windows experience as bad as the OSX one?
For me it cant be cables, because on OSX is noticeable worse... Will do some more testing (fine tune the worse color) and compare between OSes, just to prove my sensations.

So I guess it's something common in OS X no matter what display we have on.

Now I see it becomes severely noticeable, if you push the lid back or front. I don't know if it's just the different side of view, or there's something with the cable that improves by moving.

I recall having seen this maybe once or twice before, but I havent for a while.

The only obvious change is RMs screen brightness workaround, possibly related? (as a cure I mean, having the display sleep)
