10.8.4 Update available. What does/doesn't work?

Pretty much, 111D76D1 can be safely used as an example.

OK, here is the one for 4x40s, assuming it was replacing same codec as 4x30s:

----

Note: this kext is only for 4x40s (please test... I don't have the hardware):

Just FYI, your patched kext for 4x30s works just fine on my end. I did hope it would fix the mic line in though, but it didn't. Still, I can live with that. :)

Edit:

And, from my understanding, the mic in does work if you provide a stereo input.
That's exactly the case here.

That would probably be something in the XML files, and we are just using the previous ones.

I installed the combo update and again like it was for the 10.8.2 update i got an error message at the end. The update is installed (under the system info i have 10.8.4 version) and i had to replace the old kexts in order to get things working again. What could be the issue?

RehabMan i installed your AppleHDA kext and its working fine!

On a side note, since the 10.8.4 update coreaudiod seems to be spamming quite heavily in the log with:

Code:
05.06.2013 22:05:05,775 coreaudiod[155]: Disabled automatic stack shots because audio IO is active
05.06.2013 22:05:26,696 coreaudiod[155]: Enabled automatic stack shots because audio IO is inactive

does anyone else also experience it?

Since you're getting errors during system updates, you probably have something damaged:

- I would check the install.log for errors. See if they give you a clue.
- Rebuild cache and watch system.log in Console while it happens (make sure kextcache is not throwing errors)

Short of figuring out what the problem is and fixing it, I'd recommend a fresh install. It is not normal to have errors during/after system updates. My main ML install has been updated all the way from 10.8.0 (first created when 10.8 first came out). My system has gone through a lot of updates and testing various kexts (because I'm building/developing them), and it still updates without errors.

It's complaining about the bt kext but my bt was/is working fine. Also i noticed my wifi is slower too. Now my max wifi speed is around 5 mbit with my 25 mbit connection using 150 mbit wifi link.

Here's all you need for 4540s audio. Just need to be applied.

You probably did a rollback or installed patched BT kext (unnecessarily) at some point. Like I said, your situation is not normal... do a fresh install...

Also i noticed my wifi is slower too. Now my max wifi speed is around 5 mbit with my 25 mbit connection using 150 mbit wifi link.

What WiFi do you have on 4530s that is 150mbit/sec? I have 9285 and it is only 75mbit on OS X (see WiFi links in FAQ). I see 65mbit/sec reported in Network Utility. Average throughput (file copy w/ finder from SMB server) is 36mbit/sec (really 45mbit/sec as we should adjust for two bits overhead for 4.5*10 instead of 4.5*8, but...). I have a somewhat ideal setup for WiFi as my laptop happens to live in the same room as my WAP. This is typical of WiFi -- where speeds are massively overstated compared with reality.
