The installation will identify and remove older conflicting USB 3.0 kexts.

Hi @tonymacx86, could you please allow us to download using a download accelerator. I tried downloading multibeast via Downloathemall on Firefox and it just fails like with rapidshare and other file hosting sources. Please do allow this.... saves considerable amount of time in case the connection breaks as it does happen quite often in my country.

Any type of download accelerator is not compatible with our software and isn't supported.

HI.
i just bought an external disk solution (icybox IB-3640), it's an e-sata usb3.0 unit, and a generic USB 3.0 pic-e card (it use a ned NEC D720200AF1).
at the same time i upgraded to 10.8.3 and multibeast 5.3.0 , so i installed the new usb 3.0 generic driver.

everything seem to work, but when i try to read from the unit it's ejected from the finder.

i can write (fast, so yes USB 3 superspeed it's working) to the unit but i cant read from it.

the same unit , plugged in a USB 2.0 port work well.
the unit work even if i connect it to the usb 3.0 card, with an USB 2.0 cable.

so the problem is only reading from the unit when i use the USB 3.0 card and a USB 3.0 cable.

actually i don't own other computer to check if the unit it's working well when in usb 3.0

any suggestion?

thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is a known issue - Trying to install Drivers & Bootloaders/Drivers/SystemAppleACPIPlatform Rollback/10.8.1 Rollback
The install removes the 10.8.3 kext, but does not install the 10.8.1 Rollback.
I ran the installer twice to make sure, but both installs failed to install the 10.8.1 rollback.

Thanks

Cant wait to test out the native ML sound for X79... Hopefully it works. And update my network drivers.

Awesome Work!!!

Hey! Did the sound on Sabertooth X79 ALC892 work for you using the latest Multibeast 5.3.0?
I can see all the outputs and inputs but no sound.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This Rocks! I just did a reinstall on my P8Z77-V-LK + i5-3570k + GTX-660ti build using 5.3 and included 'USB 3.0 - Universal' (Drivers & Bootloaders > Miscellaneous > USB 3.0 - Universal) and now all of my USB ports work with 2.0 & 3.0 devices and the 2 Asmedia controlled ports on the back now work!

Thanks guys!

That Universal USB3 kext from MB 5.3.0 is an absolutly NO GO on my hack.

Due to my bios settings everything works perfect without.

Using that kext my USB3 external HD was only recognized if i booted with the
HD plugged into my front USB3 port.

The hotswap was gone.

(i did not test the rear USB3 ports as i almost never use them)

So GA-Z77X-UP5-TH users should not use it
And i’m almost sure that goes for the GA-Z77X-UD5H users to.

Use my bios settings: (attached)

XHCI Pre-Boot Driver = Enabled
XHCI Mode =Smart Auto
Internal CPU PLL Over-voltage = Disable

And your USB3 ports works perfect

The two USB2 ports on the back panel i use for mouse/keyboard and they dos'nt give me any warning after wake from sleep.

My case have two USB2 ports on the front (conected to the USB2 header on the MB ) and if i use them i still have that usb warning after sleep.

But if i plug ANY USB2 or 3 device in ANY front or rear USB3 port that problem's gone.

My front USB3 ports is connected to the header #2 and #3 on the MB.

This update has allowed the USB 3.0 ports on GA-Z77-UD3H on ML 10.8.3 to work. Only two of which worked before the new universal usb 3.0 driver update and MB 5.3. Thank you for you work!

Sadly, it has also broken sleep; it now turns off the display and powers down the cpu yet the system is still on and unresponsive.

I have tried..
XHCI Pre-Boot Driver = Enabled

XHCI Mode =Smart Auto
Internal CPU PLL Over-voltage = Disable

..in bios to no avail. Disabling XHCI all together does not fix the issue either. Nor fresh installs.

Has anyone experienced this on a similar build?
