dvi and hdmi at once?

hey,

i'm using this build for a while now and everything's just fine.
so far i only used one monitor via dvi with it, today i tried to add a second monitor. so my primary monitor is connected via hdmi, which is working without any trouble.
BUT: i can't get the second monitor working which is connected via dvi.
when i boot the second monitor flickers and apparently gets a signal but just for a few seconds, than it always changes to: "no signal". the other monitor is still working though, but i have no idea why i can't get the second one working. any ideas?

cheers!

Try these:
- Try Turn your second monitor off and then on again or
- add the resolution to the plist file with your monitor's native resolution (Most of the time should be 1080p)

I have wrote this in the first post:
"If you got distorted graphics when booting into the desktop, try adding
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string>
into your org.chameleon.Boot.plist file inside the Extra Folder."

ah alright. that might actually be the problem then. thank you.
my second monitor is not the newest, so it's still in the 4:3 format. i tried changing /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist as you said before, but it didn't make any difference, so maybe i have to change it to 1024x768 instead of 1920x1080. i will try that!

edit: okay, i just tried it and it didn't work. after changing /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist and trying to boot with both monitors plugged in i got a picture on both screens, but both monitors turned off automatically at the white apple screen... i tried booting with only the second monitor plugged in and got the same problem again.

so i tried booting with only the hdmi-monitor plugged in and it worked again, then booting again with both monitors and still the same /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist setting and my system boots, the first monitor works, but the second doesn't react at all. it's really weird! Turning the monitor off and then on again doesn't change anything as well.

Could my second monitor be to old to work with mountain lion? i used both monitors together with my last hackintosh, which was running with leopard. the dual monitor use worked just OOB there using DVI and VGA to connect.

Hi All,

My system has been running flawlessly since installing about a year ago. My current configuration is a dual boot setup with Windows 7 and 10.8.2.

I have now also installed Ubuntu 13.04 on a separate hard drive and would like to introduce this so the system triple boots. My problem is that Ubuntu will only boot correctly when the PCI graphics option is selected in the BIOS and 10.8.2 will only boot when the internal graphics is selected (Windows doesn't care)?

Does anyone know of a solution to get 10.8.2 booting off external graphics, of have any other advice?

It's a pain having to load the bios and make a change every time i want to change OS

Thanks in advance :)

USB problems:

After last osx update and install of gtx660 my mouse (MX518) started to stop working sometimes. Change to another USB port helped. Now today also my wired apple keyboard stopped working and it worked only in one of the USB ports. What an earth could be the problem?!?

Hi all,

I beg you to help me because I'm desperate with my hackintosh problems started from the graphics card installed GU-N210SL-1GI. Install this graphics card because my motherboard GA-B75M-D3H is not supported.

The keyboard and mouse were frozen at the beginning of session, a few minutes after returning to work. When you turn on the screen after the apple boot came out blue screen and had to reboot for it to start well.

Now the screen goes black and will not let me go from there and I can not boot or re-install if this graphics card is connected. When I uninstall the graphics card everything works fine but of course no more graphic than 1024x768.

I need your help desperately because I'm about to give up, thanks in advance for your possible help and sorry for my English.

Hello Moarfish's;

My config is Core i5-3570K - Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H, I got solved with GraphicsEnabler = Yes because I do not at all, for now it works well but I still have the problem with the keyboard and mouse are frozen and slow start. It welcomes any help, thanks

has anybody tried to update to 10.8.3 ? ;-)

Yes...I tried and all are running good. When I upgraded, Audio was not working. Then I patched Audio drivers from multibeast and everything goes zooooom ! But There's still a problem- ML 10.8.3 restarts properly but the shutdown do not shuts of my PC as HDD got shutdown, Monitor shutdown, LAN shutdown ...but PC remains ON. I upgraded with latest Chimera !
