I'm actually looking to add more drives to my hackintosh. But I'm out of slots. Does anyone know of a SATA card that would be compatible?

Or better yet, I'd like to raid 5 my new drives. Does anyone know of a hardware raid card that would work?

Thanks!

Looking for the same. Looks like this card was tested with 10.6 & 10.7. Any issues with 10.8?

Here is the card on Amazon.

Comments there suggest that using this card disables the on-board RIAD for most mobos? Is that the case?

If you want good performance, you'd be better off going with something from this selection (Highpoint Technologies):
http://www.hptmac.com/product-list.php?category=23&type=1&bus_type=3. I haven't heard about very good experiences with the cheap ASMedia 1061 based cards like the one mentioned above. The Highpoint cards are Marvell based.

I have been using a 3ware/LSI 9650SE-4LPML for the last 3 years; no problems.
I have 2 x 1TB WD RE4 7200 in RAID 1

Need to download the 10.2 codeset drivers/kexts from LSI site and install using kextbeast or kext utility.
After reboot; my RAID 1 shows up as a single drive .

Always worked well without major problems
