Itunes update broke audio?

I recently updated my itunes on my hackintosh. I use insignia speakers that are hooked up to my computer. When i was done updating i noticed my volume was gone. I went into System Preferences audio/output and the speakers dont show up anymore. Is this a problem with Itunes?

Update #1:
When i use multibeast 4.6.1, what i used when i first built the hackintosh, all i get in my SystemPref/audio/output is my logmein audio output. No volume but the volume bar works. Itunes songs dont play.

When i use MultiBeast 5.2.1 i get options in my outputs but none of them work. My speakers are plugged in just as they were when the audio was working.Ive also trie the HDARollback i think its called. Its an option in multibeast to make the applehda.kext to 10.8.2 i belevie. I think the problem lies within either the AppleHda.kext, HdaEnabler1.kext, HdaEnabler892.kext, or one of the ones with the word audio in it.

It wasn't iTunes, it was the software update. The update installs native AppleHDA.kext; result, no audio. Nothing you tried works with X79 audio so you made the problem worse. Two suggestions: back up your system before you do a software update and write a note on how to install audio for your system to use the next time.

Thankyou so much, this fixed my problem. I ran multibeast 4.6.1 and then used kextbeast to intall the AppleHDA.kext you mentioned.

Although this fixed the audio problem, it did cause a problem with my iphone and my mac connecting. I have tried every usb port, every cable i have, and everay iphone i have, but for some reason the computer isn't recognizing my phone. It used to recognize it just fine before the update but now i get nothing, not even a charge. Any ideas?
