Hp probook 4740s

Ok done that. After install of Mountain Lion what must i choose in hp probook installer 6.1 beta 4

- OS X support kext - 4x40s 10.8.3
- skip DSDT
- skip SSDT
- SSDT generator
- System definitions MacBookPro9,2
- Chimera
- Optional hardware (EDID)
- skip Misc OS X
- Extra tools (HWMonitor, rest as needed)

Before restart, copy the best dsdt.aml to /Extra on the hard drive.

Yessss!!! Now i'm getting somewhere. Just one problem. My wifi does not work.
I've got sound
1080p(vram 384Mb)
usb
bleutooth
battery
ethernet via cable
optical drive
i dont know about card reader

Not WIFI(i've put working card of my 4530 probook)
Is it something to do with my dsdt.aml? extracted dsdt without compatible wifi card in 4740s.

I wasn't sure what WiFi card you've got. If it came from 4530S then open dsdt.aml with MaciASL and apply AR9285 patch
or edit Info.plist with nano and rebuild caches.


sudo nano -w /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros40.kext/Contents/Info.plist

change pci168c,23 to pci168c,2b
save and rebuid caches.

bought a second hand artheros ar5b93 wifi card. And still i dont get my wifi to work. The card recognized on the system. I see the logo for wifi on the top right. But i get no signal. Tested the card in windows, then it works. What am i doing wrong?

Problem resolved!!! Installed 10.8.3 again. And now i get a signal. Now ive got a fully working system!!!

The preferred technique is to use the AR9285 DSDT patch. Makes updates easier, as it is not destroyed by updates to /S/L/E...

Is there a good guide,how to patch dsdt?
Where can i find those patches?

How can i increase vram? Now i have 384MB ,is there a way to upgrade?
