Article: MultiBeast 5.2 Update

MultiBeast currently does not generate a serial but uses a default in each smbios.plist.

You should edit you serial to be different and unique. But anytime you do a EasyBeast or UserDSDT or change the System Definition you will get the default serial number.

Hi, In that case my suggestion would be that MultiBeast preserve the serial number if one exists so one doesn't have to restore it every time!

You should only be using EasyBeast or UserDSDT on a clean install so that is a non-issue.

If you are changing the smbios type the serial number will not be valid as each smbios has a different serial number format.

Many thanks for the explanation!
