Phew, I was a little worried about this update, however it appears to have gone quite smoothly. GA-Z77-DS3H, i7-3770K, OCZ SSD, Radeon 5770. I used the combo update, move /Extras to /Extras.10.8.2, ran the current Multibeast with no DSDT and ALC887 driver, repaired permissions, rebooted. The machine seems a little quicker, and Geekbench has increased about 1.5% from 14,700 to 14,900. Sleep appears to be working properly.

[Update] Just did the update on a second Z77-DS3H with no issues.

Article: OS X 10.8.3 Update

Installed 10.8.3 Update via AppStore on a AsRock z68 Extreme 4 Gen 3 which uses ALC892 Codec, my system prior to the update on 10.8.2 was happily working with my patched DSDT and MultiBeast AppleHDA for ALC892 with DSDT. Now reinstalling the AppleHDA ALC892 with DSDT on 10.8.3 the system isn't detecting any output devices.

Anyone experiencing this issue or know a solution since the onboard ALC892 device is still listed in System Information, kinda annoying.

Best Regards,

installed 10.8.3 from the combo update with no problems.
it only disabled opencl feature for my gts450 and the previous patches seems to be useless. any advices?

Few days ago I reported no problems after upgrading to 10.8.3.
Now it turns out that my system crashes every single hour, that's because Gigabyte GTS 450 graphics card... In 10.8.2. it was working fine OOB (without openGL)... :(

If you use VoodooHDA, you will not need to make any modifications

wrong!

I use voodooHDA and now i have a vodooHDA related Kernel Panic...

Solved my issue, used an earlier version of MultiBeast that had the option rollback AppleHDA, applied the DSDT kexts for ALC892 for that revision. Rebooted, sound was effective on startup (yay), then applied the latest DSDT AppleHDA for ALC892 from the Multibeast 5.2.1 wizard, rebooted and sound worked again.

Edit: Once you have your Audio working I suggest you backup /S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext and /Library/Preferences/Audio/com.apple.audio.DeviceSettings.plist and /Library/Preferences/Audio/com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist since I'm sure the Device information wasn't getting collated into their respected config.
