10.8.3 + UniBeast 1.7.0 = Too Soon?

I think I learned an important lesson here: When building your UniBeast key, don't be Web surfing or generally mucking about on the same machine while UniBeast is running in the background.

On my Recording Studio 2.0 build that I was also using as my test subject, I plugged my regular/working SSD drive back in, downloaded the new 10.8.3 installer on this machine, then downloaded UniBeast here as well. Rebuilt my UB install key.

Unplugged all my HDs (including my normal boot SSD) and plugged my spare once-again-unformatted SSD back in and retried the install:
--I didn't remove either of my FW cards
--I didn't remove my AVID Pro Tools|HD Native card, either

Initial install, followed by OSX setup wizard, followed by running MultiBeast ML 5.2.1, followed by Chimera 2.0.1, and PRESTO!!! All phases of the setup went PERFECTLY!

Oh, and by chance if the guy who says that installing 10.8.3 broke his Syba FW card is reading, that was not my experience. Behold:
Syba card.png

(Syba is highlighted - the other FW instance is my Belkin FW400 card)

I must admit, the 2 glasses of Sangria I had prior to starting this little project MAY have also contributed to my failure the first go-round...

P.S.: iMessage works!!!!!!!

Yea i literally fixed my problem by taking out my graphics card, booting so that it could see the firewire card, then reinstalling the graphics card. Not sure why this worked but it did.

Hey guys, not sure if this will help or not but I was stuck on that exact same screen, almost exact same build (minus thunderbolt) and after a few days I realized the chimera bootloader in multibeast is outdated... get ur hackintosh into boot mode (w internet if possible) and go to Tony' Downloads page and Dload chimera to desktop (2.0.something), double click and install it to ur USB Boot Drive w/ ur OS and restart (may have to config the bios according to the UEFI Guide in the 10.8 Installation guide... near the top). I did this and followed the guide from the beginning again and got everything to run fine (My gfx card was a gtforce 660 I think). I think I had to change bios to PEG w 64... anyways, hope this might help... not gonna lie, this was my first successful hackintosh build (let alone computer build), had it up in about a week (I work a dayjob so ya).

NM... I'm an idiot, looks like you already found that out. Sorry:rolleyes:

That wasn't my issue, as I was never even able to get to a point where I could actually install MultiBeast. The chimera bootloader that was/is used to create my UniBeast install key worked well enough to boot my system & do the initial install of OS X. Also the same version that's used in the current MB. So again, that's not the issue. My issue ended up being a bad UniBeast build for my USB key.

Thanks!

I do the Same Clean Install.

i7-3770
GA-H77M-D3H
GTX 560 Ti
128G SSD

1. Clean Install with Unibeast - ML 1.7.0 to Install Mac OS X 10.8.3
2. after boot , Install MultiBeast ML 5.2.1
3. but when finish the installation ... seems to have some problems ... (and I try to reinstall many times)

Problem a :?? 1.jpg

Problem b:?? 2.jpg

Problem c:?? 3.jpg

After reinstall many times ... Problem a is the most problem.

I can't login but I can use unibeast disk to login.
I don't know how to finish this setup.

Thanks
