HP Probook 4540s.....

Hi guys,
Firstly I would like to congratulate you for your achievements.

I currently have the HP ProBook 4540s / B7B08ES#ABU Core i 3 2370M 500GB 4GB RAM HD3000 and by the looks of it, it is hackintoshible.

Question:
1. is it worth it?
2. is it stable?
3.is there complete step-by-step guide to carry it out for the sandybridge model?

1. it is totally worth it!!!
2. I am using it like couple of months for web/mobile development i have never seen an issue or crash
3. There isn't as much as i know but use the same techniques from 4530 and different kexts in the end, read this whole thread to find out how people fixed stuff, without patching DSDT ands SSDT i figured it out for one day and completely installed it. Patching is a bit too much for me in any case 90% is working only with kexts as you can see in my previous post.
 
4540s touch pad not working after waking from sleep. Also the camera does not work after waking from sleep. everything else is great except Ralink RT5390 wifi adapter which doesn't work at all.

For the "trackpad non-responsive after sleep" it is in the VoodooPS2Controller.kext. There are many posts about it in the voodoops2 thread.
 
Anyone that has dsdt for sandy bridge i5-2450m, hd3000, with sleep enabled. Would appreciate and help (Getting 144 error when compiling my one dsdt :/)

I installed the latest version of your driver and now the trackpad works after sleep. This is great - the most annoying issue of my 4740s is now gone and it is almost perfect now. Thank you very much!!!
 
Any way to enable ATI Radeon HD7650 2GB Graphic Card in probook 4540s?

Thank you so much rehabman for your hard work and the continuous help u provide. Its working with the voodoops2controller update 1.7.8.

I attached it to this post. Thought it may help someone else.

Edit: Removed VoodooPS2 download.
 
Hi, I'm new and I'm looking for a Laptop to get hackintosh, and I know that it will be Probook (probably 4540s) i found this one http://allegro.pl/bytom-hp-probook-4540s-i5-4gb-750gb-intel-hd-linux-i3013184471.html and I'm thinking about wireless, i just know that is Atheros 802.11b/g/n and I don't know that it will be working with 10.8.2, it's not the problem to buy wireless to usb but if it is inside it will be great to use it ;)
