Repairing Disk Permissions?

Hi there, I've been having issues backing up using time machine, so I figured I'd do a repair permission on my data drive that contains my home folder that I moved into from main drive. (SSD Mac OS X drive)

I'm getting this message in the middle of verifying the disk.

My 3 questions are.

1. Can I/Should I use a Unibeast USB drive to boot into and repair?
2. Will repairing the disk break the boot loader, or anything at all?
3. Alternate suggestions?

Yes I would do that. Access Utilities->Disk Utility from there.

2. Will repairing the disk break the boot loader, or anything at all?

It shouldn't. But at that point you'll have a UniBeast stick on hand, so if there was a problem you could use that, then boot onto your drive (so there should be no risk). However for peace of mind I always have a recent clone partition on the system somewhere too.

If you somehow did need to, you could use the standalone Chimera installer or use MultiBeast to only install Chimera, and that would reinstall the boot blocks so you didn't need to boot via the USB stick.
