HP ProBook Installer 6.1: 4x30s and 4x40s support

HP ProBook Installer 6.1 (beta): Ivy bridge support

Has the trackpad sleep fix been included in the beta for the 4x40s models?

I'll give this a go later on a clean partition and report back.

Many thanks.

I don't think so. Probably best to wait until I release...

If you want to know what is inside and what the various scripts do, best way is to examine the PKG with Pacifist.

Thank you :)

On another note, did the installer install IOath3kfrmwr.kext in S/L/E? As http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2628&page=3 for my AR3011 BT part of my combo card, also needs to install a different version of this text - is it fine to replace this? Or how can I merge them together?

Is there a quick way to check? There are no extra files in there, the plist is definitely different but the date modified is different

Use diff.

I'm sure the code is slightly different, but might be same firmware. Most significant, probably, is that it loads under a different idProduct/idVendor, 13060/5075 vs. Probook 4530s 12573/1008.

This is mlydinesh's version... And I think he has sources checked into github somewhere...

Are you using the (patched? rollback?) IOBluetoothFamily.kext that is part of this archive?

Might be worth it to try the installer version with modified plist for 13060/5075 and stock IOBluetoothFamily.kext...

All I have installed is the OS X kexts from this installer, and I believe they are highlighted (labelled) so are clearly visible in Finder - so I believe I am using a stock IOBluetoothFamily.kext. Would an earlier version enable the bluetooth?

I was under the idea that with this different 'IOath3kfrmwr.kext' (that you linked) you had working BT. I was curious what was different about it compared to the one we use in 4x30s (which is also AR3000 series)... that's why I looked at the archive, and discovered there was also a IOBluetoothFamily.kext there. So now I'm confused because you say you only installed OS X kexts from the installer, yet you're also pointing at an archive that includes a (replacement) IOath3kfrmwr.kext (already one in the installer that works with 4x30s), and another kext IOBluetoothFamily.kext??

BTW, I read your post as "I had to install this kext package to get BT to work. Is this stuff going to be added to the installer?"

If I read that wrong, let me know...
