Little update:

Because I wasn't able to controll my four case fans with an external fan controllor (clatter noise) I ordered a PWM signal splitter.
My case fans are all PWM controlled, that means that you can't controll them by reducing the voltage. PWM fans always need 12V and get a pulsed signal from the 4th pin on the mainboard.
Because my mainboard only has one real PWM port (CPU_FAN) I had to use a splitter, which is forwarding the signal to multiple fans.

So yesterday I installed a "Akasa FLEXA FP5". This cable gets the 12V directly from the power supply and forwards the PWM signal to 5 fans. Now my mainbaord can controll the CPU and all four case fans.
In the BIOS I set the PWM controll to a very low signal increase by increasing CPU temperature.

It looks great! I'm a little worried about your SSDs though. Why not get one or two of these to put it in your drive tray? Or you could just get a single 2.5" to 3.5" converter like this one and run the cables directly to the mobo instead of using the backplane? Perhaps you could add a second drive bay in the space below the current one? BTW, how's that external radiator working?

:headbang:

No need to worry about the SSDs, it's just not pretty :p

The external radiator is an all in one solution (radiator, reservoir, pump, fans, sensors) from a german watercooling company. I got it very cheap on eBay, but knowing that there are very silent air cooled nVidia 670 cards, I think I will switch back.
On the other hand it's very efficient not to have the graphics card heat in the system.
It's called "Aquaduct" and looks like this:

Great build, glad the help of the HDD caddy paned out for you it good to see it being used by someone else. You are right the SSD's are not pretty;), you might want to consider one of these. It could be mounded underneath your existing drive bay.

I really had that solution u linked in mind, but I am still hesitating… I would like to build it in one of the free HDD slots, but that's not gonna work because of the back panel.
Other solututions are:
- simple metal frame for 3,5" -> 2x 2,5"
- PCIe slot tray

I really like this one, but it's 25€ for one:

New hardware installed:

CPU: i7-3770K @ 4,3GHz
Cooler: Prolimatech Black Series Megahalem
Fan: Noiseblocker NB-eLoop Fan
MB: Gigabyte UD5H
Ram: 2x8GB GeIL
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 670 FTW Signature 2

very quiet system and I was able to dismiss the watercooling system (it drove me nuts in the end).

mmm... nice hardware update.
Any photo to see how it looks like inside ?
