Oh yes! I finally fixed audio by adding IRQNoFlags to Device (HPET) :headbang:

Code:
IRQNoFlags ()
{0}
IRQNoFlags ()
{8}
IRQNoFlags ()
{11}
IRQNoFlags ()
{15}

Now AppleHDA works without -f.

I ordered this one (AR9280 AR5BHB92). I will test it and tell you how it works.

Zoltankr, this is a very basic question, but when you say you have to use the -f boot flag, is this required for the first time (after initial install), where/when do you type it, why is this needed, and what would happen if you did not use the -f boot flag?
I patched IOAHCIFamily.kext to delay its start by 200ms (credits Philip Petev). Otherwise, you need to use that -f flag. Check out my 4540s kexts.

/Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist:

Code:
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>-f</key>

I am now the proud owner of a ProBook 4340s (Ivy Bridge) model C4Y15EA :D

Have some uni work to do first, after than I'm going to start installing OS X on there. If anyone needs Ivy Bridge version of a DSDT I can now supply :thumbup:
Aye! Good to hear that ;)

Success! :D I have a triple boot HP 4540s running Mac OS 10.8.2 Mountain Lion/Windows 7, 64bit/Linux Mint 14, and I'm a very happy camper!

Thanks go to all the many folks on Tonymacx86 who have not only used their knowledge and skill to make this possible, but have also shared their hard earned techniques with the rest of us, thank you all.

I just need to tidy up the install, but all basic functions seem to be working OK at the moment (sound/video/wifi etc.) but I still need to test stuff like HDMI.

edit........HDMI video (including dragging to second screen) is working fine! But not got Audio via HDMI yet.

I will attempt to post a how to (if I can remember what I did :crazy:) if no-one else (better qualified) wants to do it?

Pete

I think the best thing to do would be to do your own write-up, possibly in the user-builds section? If you make it neat and tidy, you can link it in your sig and keep it constantly updated. The more of these we have, the more information available for everyone else to read through!

Nice!

It would be great if you could post all the details here. There are a lot of people that would be interested and it would help move towards the goal of having a complete and easy to understand guide, along with supporting tools (eg. support in Probook installer).

The best way to be sure you know what you did is to do it again, perhaps on a spare HDD...

Hello everyone

I'm the lucky or the unlucky owner of a HP Probook 4540s that has the new generation of processors: Ivy Bridge.... more information about this laptop could be found by searching for C4Z09EA on google.

Could anyone point me the link for the needed kext files to get this laptop running the latest verios of Mac OSX?.
This laptop has a discrete graphics card and a Intel HD 4000. May this cards work same as on windows OS.... switchable graphics?

Waiting for your answare

Hi, everything you need is on these posts, you may have to disable ATI graphics tho'
