Official CustoMac Mini 2012 Guide and Notes (in progress)

Try making your own DSDT. I haven't had the issue since I did that.

Great tip, thanks. Using Toleda's easy guide here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hdmi-audio/84936-easy-guide-ml-hdmi-audio-hd4000-7-series-mb.html (and the very nice MaciASL) I was able to extract my DSDT and patch it to have HDMI audio. Wake up issue is gone. Well, at least for now :)

By the way, Toleda: I have used your guide to manually patch my other system (X58A-UD3R) to enable encoded audio out with success, and this new easy guide makes it very easy to get this working on newer boards. Thanks for providing these instructions.

Thanks to all of you. Thanks to this forum I was able to install Lion Mountain in my PC. Everything works fine, the only problem is that my memory sticks give an error when I wake up my pc after sleep.
First I thought that the problem was the "DSDT.aml" I generated, but also fails with the installation DSDT-FREE, it's like if the memory sticks were ejected without dismounting them before.

What I can do?

For anyone trying to use Parallels, the newest version does work but you should enable Intel Virtualization technology in the bios for best results. I have Windows 7 Ultimate running with no problems at all.

Someone please rescue me.

Running H77 Wifi, Core i5 3570k, TP Link Wifi, onboard Intel 4000 and that's about it.

System works great except for very stutter-y bluetooth mouse performance. Haven't tried HDMI yet, DVI works perfect at 1080p.

But the system will not boot on it's own still. Needs the bootable OSX drive to Chameleon screen and then select bootable hard drive. It's more of an annoyance than anything, but really... why can't I get this to work?

I've done multibeast DSDT free mostly, tried DSDT but got an error. Dont' think that's the problem anyways. Ran Chimera afterwards, same issue. I really think it has to be a motherboard setting?

Are all your systems booting fine with no motherboard setting changes? Please help...

Did you connect the antennas that come with the board?

Any chance your system hard drive is 2TB or larger? If so, see this:

I thought those antennas were for wifi? I didn't connect them since I'm using a TP Link card with its own antennas for wifi. I will have to connect the other ones, seems like a good idea.

Hard drive is 1TB. Basically I left all bios settings alone (had messed with them to try to get things to work but restored them to default) and ran non-DSDT Multibeast and Chimera after that (there's no Chimera setting on my Multibeast, only a Easybeast which errors out if I try to use that option) The machine is useable but a pain to always have that flash drive plugged in and hitting F12 on each bootup. Have toyed with the thought of formatting and reinstalling with 10.8.2 (i'm on 10.8 right now) but I've installed a lot of software and am not looking forward to redoing the system...

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Would using a DSDT for this board have absolutely any effect on the booting issues? Seems like the DSDT is just for HDMI audio? Not currently needing this feature.

Well bluetooth as a wireless standard needs an antenna too... Only one is needed in this case, connected to the left plug (if I remember correctly) when facing the back ports of the motherboard.

Some people reported that they had to turn off "vt-d" in the BIOS for the system to boot. However, since you are able to boot it using a bootloader on a USB drive, I doubt that this is your issue.

Can you detail a bit what is happening when you try to boot your system using the hard drive?

Plugged in both antennas. Lag gone. THANK YOU! Hate my wired mouse.

On any restart or shutdown/reboot I see the motherboard splash screen, then this:

>00000080
<00000002
000000C1
00000048

Blinking cursor after the J. Won't go further. Thanks for your thoughts.

I am really not sure what is not working on your setup, but based on your last post it really seems like your bootloader is not correctly installed. Make sure to download latest MultiBeast, then re-run it with identical settings as what is illustrated in post #1 of this thread. If you don't need HDMI audio, don't put any DSDT file on your desktop and use the options illustrated in the DSDT-Free screenshot.

(By the way, if you only want to install Chimera with MultiBeast, it should be listed under "Drivers & Bootloaders -> Bootloaders"; Boot options are under "Customization -> Boot Options". I'd suggest you stick with settings in post #1 until you machine works properly.)
