just as i suspected i installed multibeast user dsdt free and caused kernel panics right away, got it out of the kernel panic but only after deleting the fakesmc.kext then booted and restarted but then once again got a spinning apple wheel system wouldnt boot. I told you i wanted to manage the system by myself by installing everything one by one so i can manage and know what is causing problems, so thank you for saying i was being to cautious. I knew i should have followed my own advice, but i do appreciate the community even its criticisms.

OK. Guess you know best.

Please list you system's components and how you installed Mountain Lion. This might give us insight to your problem(s). TIA.

I want to take the time to apologize sincerely to you. This is my first hackintosh build, and needless to say the experience was a bit stressful and long. It took me nearly 2 weeks to get everything up and running and I have tremendous patience, however my girlfriend is very impatient and the mac was for her so I have deadlines to meet if you get my drift. I once again want to thank the community for its efforts to help me solve problems, as far as my system specs go, they are as follows:

M/B-Gigabyte Z77-D3H f18 bios
cpu-2500k
video- EVGA GTX 560 non ti
onboard sound- i believe its V2101
lan- Tp link wireless 4800 card
8gigs ram
1 terb storage

OK. First, your motherboard BIOS version number must be a typo as the Z77-D3H highest BIOS version is F9 (F10f is a beta version and not stable). Additionally, your on-board audio is a Realtek ALC887 codec, not the VIA 2101. Oops! Me culpa. I was thinking of a Z77-DS3H instead of the D3H. Old age eyes...

Second, you have a Sandy Bridge processor (i5-2500K) while you have an Ivy Bridge 7-Series motherboard. This makes your installation a little tougher to accomplish. Even though you have a graphics card, this is a good reference for you: http://www.tonymacx86.com/150-enabl...therboards-hd-4000-6-series-motherboards.html More on this below.

Third, your 1TB HDD is OK (maybe) as you can't install OS X on >1TB HDD or partition. Now for the maybe, check to see if you drive has 512MB or 4K sectors (look at mfgr's spec's). If you have a drive with 512MB sectors, you're OK. If you have the 4K sector drive, you'll see boot0 errors so you'll need to use this guide to overcome the errors: http://www.tonymacx86.com/25-boot0-error-official-guide.html

Fourth, I'd try to install using the on-board graphics first - you can the 560 Ti after you get the on-board HD3000 running Mountain Lion. This method gets you up and running faster and get you out of the doghouse. The graphics card isn't hard, it's just another variable in the mix.

Finally, your motherboard is a tonymacx86 recommended so installation should be easy. Follow the UniBeast Installation Guide including the section on using MultiBeast, and I recommend using my Thunderball build description setup BIOS variables and MultiBeast settings to get your system stable running HD3000. (Don't be deterred that my build description is for anther Gigabyte motherboard and an Ivy Bridge processor. I have a Z77-DS3H / i5-3570K system, and I followed the same setup and installation procedure.) Then, you can install your graphics card and rerun MultiBeast only using the appropriate graphics "stuff". (You may want to see help for installing the 560 Ti in the Graphics forum section or looking at Golden Builds or User Builds descriptions that have a 560 Ti graphics card.

One last tip, use the MultiBeast "UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation" option which gives the right defaults including Chimera. I recommend Chimera over Chameleon because Chimera is more robust.

Good Luck. Hope this gets you up & running quickly.

I think Stork has confused Z77 D3H with z77 DS3H. The D3H which simpill has (same as mine) does have VIA audio, atheros NIC (ar 8161), and latest bios is F18 (F19G beta bios). But I suggest you follow Stork's advice on installing with HD3000 first then deal with 560ti later on. Several useful threads on the forum to help you with that graphics card. And yes as Stork said, you won't go wrong with "UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation" option in Multibeast.

ok will give it a shot jeff, stork does have the wrong board specs as we share the same board so...... I will give the Mulibeast another try, but I was able to install the graphics card on os 10.8 but in order to do it I had to boot with -F flag, for some reason after the apple logo came up after a few seconds my video signal drops unless i boot into the os with -F

My apologies on mistaking the D3H for a DS3H. I blame it on bad eyesight, and Gigabyte's lousy model designation system.

LOL, agreed, their model designation system can be very confusing!!
