Hey People,
I tried to setup my hackintosh today. I have about the same components like in this build (-> http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...s-gigabyte-ga-z77-ds3h-i5-3750k-gt-640-a.html) so I followed all instructions so far and it worked.

I altered one thing: Since I do not have that GT 640 card, I did the setup with onboard intel HD graphics. It worked just fine.

Then, after combo update and reinstall/update of audio drivers/TRIM I downloaded and installed the recommended nVidia Quadro and Geforce Mac OS Drivers (most recent).

After shutdown, I installed the graphics card, then entered UEFI and switches from Init Display first: Auto to PCIE and deactivated onboard graphics.

Now the problem:
After reboot, I see the boot loader, I see the first grey screen with that turning wheel and then my screen goes blah instead of showing me the login screen.

I am using an HDMI cable to connect the device to my samsung Led Monitor.

Can somebody give that particular hint? I'm already hopelessly demotivated... Thank you!

Have you tried using DVI to connect to your monitor from the display card?

I don't think you need to install any other drivers as the 560Ti should be supported out of the box in Mountain Lion.

I just set the whole thing up once again. Yes, the drivers do not have to be installed.
The HDMI port can be used when, in UEFI, the onboard graphics is activated but Init Display First is set to "auto". Even if the PCIe device is supposed to deliver the picture... I chose "PCIe" there before.
