I've searched the forums for similar issues and found 2 year old files that talk about the "jerky-mouse" issue, but none about it happening after waking from sleep. After waking from sleep, having used the keyboard to wake, the mouse will work for a seconds and then suddenly stop, only to work for another few seconds and once again stop. This cycle repeats for about 10-15 seconds, after that the mouse works fine.

After testing different input usb devices I noticed some strange reactions. Waking from sleep via keyboard would cause a stop to usb power when a Wacom bamboo pen tablet was used instead of a mouse. Power to the front and back usb was completely cut off as even the keyboard would not light up forcing a system restart. I attempted using a standard usb wired mouse to see if the issue was with the wireless usb piece, but the same issues with the wireless mouse continued even after trying front and rear usb ports.

My only gripe with this great build is this. It's just a little annoying when trying to get straight into work and having to wait for the mouse to stop being like this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :)

System Specs:

GA Z77-UD5H (bios v.F14)
i7-3770k
Msi gtx 680 2gb
32gb corsair vengeance ram
M4 ssd 256gb (windows 7)
Samsung 840 ssd 250gb (mac os 10.8.2)
WD 1tb (storage)
Wireless Microsoft Explorer Mouse 2.4ghz
Dell Usb Keyboard
Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch Tablet

I had exactly the same problem: jerky mouse pointer after sleep. I was able to fix it by disabling Internal CPU PLL Overvoltage setting in BIOS.

You sir, are amazing.:D Fixed the issues right up. Both mouse and Wacom tablet work perfectly after sleep, no jerk and full usb power. See this is why I love this community. Awesome work.

Quick question, this won't affect over-clocking capabilities will it? I was looking in a few of the older forum archives and some users on the windows side complained about not being able to go past 4.8ghz. Personally, I don't mind since I'm at a stable 4.4ghz right now and temps don't go past 55°C at full with prime 95. Just wondering.

another way of looking at it - is you would have to manually set an appropriate CPU PLL voltage if you were overclocking in that region. I currently run my 4.6ghz overclock on a daily basis with CPU PLL Overvoltage disabled. I have run it at 4.7ghz with CPU PLL disabled but temps were edging towards 85C on full load under Prime95. I am planning on a major upgrade to my liquid cooling next year so maybe I will explore that area! ;)

Liquid cooling is your best friend when over-clocking with ivy bridge, sucker tends to run hot. I just did a stress test on prime 95 and system froze 10 mins into the test. Now to narrow down the issue. :problem:
