Try to use macmini 5.1 system definition. There could be a problem with the latest system definition in MB.

thank you for that hint. macmini 5,1 is working fine for me. Now i have all multipliers working 8x up to 18x (1,8 ghz) and some steps between.

cpu now stays at 8x/792Mhz in idle state. perfect!

just wondering if anyone figured out the Audio issue, although its only been 2 days since the last successful post ;)

Audio is working for both both versions.
See Intel NUC HDMI audio:
Post #6 for dsdt.aml/Install in Extra
Post #11 for edited AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext/Back up original/Install with KextBeast

Notes:
1. dsdt, mandatory for any audio
2. NUC w/2xHDMI, 2nd HDMI connector native, install
edited AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext for both
3. NUC w/HDMI & TB, TB connector native, install
edited AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext for both

Just got mine in today. The pictures really don't do it justice - it makes the Mac Mini look like a paperweight. Here's a photo of mine with a (large) USB stick on top for size reference:

Thank you toleda! HDMI-audio works fine with the provided dsdt&framebuffer :)

I had also success with a atheros-9280-mini-pci-e-card and a belkin mini-usb bluetooth adapter. Both working very well. (lucky streak!)

And i modded my aboutthismac screen - So if someone likes the image...

Very nice, thanks! :D

To anyone interested in the Thunderbolt model - just remember that it does NOT come with onboard Ethernet, so you'll either need a Wifi card or a USB Ethernet adapter if you want it to go online.

I posted a resource thread (a bit more on the Windows/hardware side of things) in the Hot Deals section over at Anandtech: (with a link back to this thread)

Amazing...$650 gets you a "quad" 1.8ghz i3, 16 gigs of RAM, a 400MB/s 240GB SSD, all in a package smaller than a mousepad. I love it! :D
