Can you upgrade applehda for 10.8.2 and attach it for me :D. Thanks

I want to install Mac Lion Mountain with my existing Windows 7 would you please help me in this matter. I have the following hardware:

HP ProBook 4540s, i5-3210m, 4GB RAM, 640GB HDD, Intel HD 4000

Actually I'm newbie with these stuff and don't know where to start :(

I have a working iMAC.

any help will be highly appreciated!

Any of you guys tried to upgrade the probook 4540s to the AUO B156hw01 V4 screen? Will it work? or will I need to change the cable like the 4530s?

I think we still need to change the cable. I still not try yet.

I really like where this is going. can anyone get a geekbench 64 score or cinebench score on this setup to compare to 4530s?

Hi again,

I've been trying duydangles files but have some problems as I have a HP ProBook 4540s / B7B08ES#ABU with i3-2370M / HD3000 Graphics / 4GB RAM. If I use the provided DSDT then I get all sorts of slow/hanging boot problems, as expected. Duydangle, you mention patching the DSDT for HD3000 but how do I do that? I don't know what to change. You mention Device IGPU but cannot find this in the DSDT. Maybe this is the item I need to add, but where do I find this and what should it replace?

Also, Elrom, do you have your machine mostly working now? I saw you posted your vanilla DSDT and did some patching, how far did you get? I'm doing the same, but am new to this. Did you need to patch the DSDT to get graphics working or did you just use the fix here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/150-enabl...therboards-hd-4000-6-series-motherboards.html

I have this machine until early next week at the latest, if I can't get it working well then I need to return it and go for the 3rd Gen Intel chip.

Oh and I also get the problem with "BlueTooth Keyboard Setup", where it wants to look for an external bluetooth keyboard even though my internal one is fine. Is there a fix for this?

Thanks for any help!

Hi, please provide me with your vanilla dsdt and if I will have a couple of hours I will make all necessary patches. For the first part - please don't use your dsdt or others dsdt - choose install without dsdt and than it will be ok.

Hi Elrom,

Okay great thanks here's the vanilla...I extracted two versions in fact, one under Ubuntu and one under OSX, both were identical when I did a diff comparison, so I just attached the ubuntu one here...

I'm just doing a comparison with duydangle's patched DSDT and your vanilla that you posted elsewhere, to see if I can solve any of the errors and start doing some patching. I also attached diff comparisons between all our DSDT's in case that's any use. I think the main (only) difference between my system and yours is that I have i3 2370M. There are a huge amount about of errors in the vanilla DSDT (201 before doing 'fix error's, 140 afterwards) but the main repeating ones I get are:

- object does not exist
- object is not accessible from the scope
- syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_METHOD, expecting $end

I'm thinking maybe the last one is the cause of the other ones, or at least I hope it's that simple!!

UPDATE: The last one *was( the main cause. It was down to the FPED section in the code, which was out of place. I tried wrapping this in method syntax, as suggested by other posts, but no luck, so I commented it out along with the FPED-related line at the start of the code. This also seems to be how your DSDT is Elrom. I fixed all the other DSDT compilation errors by hand and only later did I see RehabMan's patch fixes for this..duh!.

As of right now I have all RehabMan's patches installed in the DSDT and the system is running quite nicely. Don't know if all the patches are needed, but it's good enough for now. For graphics I did the Series 7 edits mentioned here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/150-enabl...therboards-hd-4000-6-series-motherboards.html - I get good resolution but I don't think QE/CI acceleration is enabled.

I also got sound working on 10.8.2 using the VoodooHDA.kext that corebuilder posted much earlier on this thread. This is as far as I have time to go for now, but I might be able to do more later.

Things that don't work yet:

- no sleep
- no battery in the status bar, and in energy saver preferences "current battery charge" says 0%
(I had sleep and battery working when booting with the SSDT from the pro book installer, but for some reason it doesn't work with my own extracted SSDT)
- no QE/CI, at least I don't think so
- didn't try fixing ethernet or wifi yet (guess wifi will never work)
- think USB ports will work with the kext's you used
- probably a few other things I forgot

Thanks for your help...andlet me know what is still not working on your system...maybe together we can get this system 100% functional before I send it back!

Okay, another update...VoodooHDA.kext worked at first but now causes kernel panic (weird, as nothing changed as far as I can tell). So now I'm also looking for patched AppleHDA.kext for 10.8.2. :( Duydangle, did you patch it, can you upload? Or anyone have a link to a patching guide?
