z77 D3H rev1.1 - Sleep/Wake issues with Display

Hi. I recently upgraded my system and have got a working installation of ML 10.8.2. I still have a few issues though and one thing that's really bugging me is that the computer sleeps and wakes properly it seems, except that my monitor stays blank after computer wakes. I know system powers up from sleep because I can hear the fans and the HDDs, but monitor doesn't wake up. I have this issue for both Gigabyte GT210 1gb and HD4000. I was expecting gt210 to work without any problems, because it never had sleep/wake problems with my previous mobo (G41m combo). Even for HD4000, I have full acceleration and is properly identified by the system but doesn't wake after sleep. Tried looking for solutions in previous threads but can't seem to find any. If you could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

edit: I'm on z77 d3H rev 1.1

Hi MiniITX,

Thanks for your response. I'm not sure if I got something out of the thread that you linked, sorry. I am currently using a dsdt edited by a fellow hackintosher. Should I try installing again without a dsdt? I remember during my first 3 installs without a dsdt, I always had problems booting form the ssd, stuck at apple spinning logo. With the dsdt I can properly boot and have a working audio and internet(app store log in successful) even without a working ethernet. What I think I got from the posts is that I should edit something from my DSDT, is that correct? No idea really how to do it but I'm really eager to learn. If you can help me out here that would be really great .I can send you the dsdt I have installed on my extra folder if necessary.

Also get the BIOS settings from somebody with same motherboard.

that's the thing, no one else seems to be using the same exact board. Everybody else is using rev.1.0 or the DS3H not the D3H variant which I have.

Attach the DSDT you are currently using. You only need the DSDT for HDMI A/V, else that motherboard works just fine without a DSDT file.

thanks for your help. attached is my current dsdt. My monitor is connected to onboard HD4000 graphics using dvi, not HDMI

The DSDT file you are using has old edits. I have not touched any of those old edits but i have made few new changes lets see if that works.

Check the BIOS and make sure the video is set to onboard and HPET - 64.

If you don't use HDMI port then i suggest you try DSDT free solution.

Hi MiniITX

I tried the dsdt you sent me, but it didn't fix the problem. I also tried installing DSDT free like you sugggested and it seems to be working a lot better. Display now wakes after sleep, faster boot time and shutdown. Audio and ethernet might be problematic without dsdt though (had audio with dsdt), but I don't mind, wdn4800 is working great for me, and a generic USB audio dongle is cheap. I have not tested USB3 as I don't have any USB3 devices yet.

Thanks for your help miniITX!
