Just add:
Code:
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1680x1050x32</string>
to your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist to get the full boot screen. Please substitute "1680x1050x32" with your LCD's resolution.

Lastly to MiniHack
Since you are using dedicated graphic. right ? Which SMBIOS use ? I saw that Mac PRO3,1 doesn't have Right AGMP(Graphic power mgmt ?) something.
So that GTX670 users dosen't use the MAC PRO3,1 and recommend to switch to MACPRO4,1 or 5,1(Mostly...)

just fyi...

Thank you

Hi,
When I get my RMA'd power supply back (my Silverstone 450W power supply died after 1 month) I will do some power testing with the graphics card and also use my power meter to see the differences that there are using different SMBIOS identities. I have simply been using MacPro3,1 up until now and that gives me 9 CPU p-states. But I guess it is possible that power management for the graphics card was not working and I might be better to think about sorting that out too.
It is possible to build new identitities and to add different cards to other models by kext editing the AGPM kext, and so I should be able to experiment with that a bit next week I hope. For the moment though I have gone back to integrated graphics as until my power supply is returned to me I am using just a 125W power supply - which obviously is not good for a separate card!

Thanks. but I'm actually using

1920X1080x32

the result are based on this. So, Miramar

you can see the full-screen right ? if so, I can suspect that it's because of MY GTX670 or My monitor not a mobo.

Thanks Minihack

It's great news to me. I've tested with different SMBIOS and GE=yes or No option and see the video performance and p-state together.
Basically, There were no better SMBIOS than MACPRO3,1 like you mentioned.

ALL IMAC SMBIOS : 5-state
Even Retinal Macbook Pro : 2-states
Macmini : 2-states/Lower performance
Mac Pro4,1,5,1,5,2.: 5-states or 8-states and shows Memory slot error report

and With GE=Yes with PCIROOT=1 option with all SMBIOSs shows same graphic performance with GE=No
No GE option/No PCIROOT=1 or 0 option shows better performance than GE options one.

Let me keep testing my self with different SMBIOS. Hope this record would helps when you test later.

Thanks as always

Hi podoboy, yeah I'm seeing full screen on both my LCDs, Dell monitor (1680x1050) and my LCD TV (1920X1080). I guess the card behaves a bit different from the onboard.

@Podoboy, with a GTX670 you should probably now be installing the latest OS X update for the new iMacs etc. (see http://netkas.org/?p=1219 ).
It installed fine on my board after changing SMBIOS to iMac13,1. You can always change your SMBIOS back after installing the update. (SMBIOS for iMac13,1 gives me just 5 p-states by the way - 16,34,35,36,37).
Update certainly does no harm for me and if Netkas thinks it may be useful for GTX670 then I think you should try.:)

@Minihack

Don't know why, but I was not able to update with any SMBIOS name change (13,1 or 13,2 or MacMini 6,1,2) all shows not supported system. Would you please share your entire SMBIOS details that you succeed ?

@Minihack, @Miramar both.

it's an another topic but...would like to double check with you for below. Need your test. thanks in advance

1. When I change to IMAC SMBIOS, there are options in the energy saver tab.
"Wake for network access" but it doesn't show when I use Mac PRO SMBIOS.
It's a normal that Mac Pro doesn't have it ?(I don't think so...) or only Zotac Mobo related issue or only happen to me ?

FYI..

http://www.macworld.com/article/1153720/macpro_sleep.html

2. Today I just found that, My display goes to sleep during any video audio play back. (Quick time/VLC...)
I can't find the solution for this (too much sleep well issue...hmm...)
anyway, How about you ? It's ok to see the movie with display sleep option ? Would you please check your one too ?

thank you.

Hi Podoboy,
Here is the SMBIOS.plist I used that worked for updating using the special update for the new models:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>SMfamily</key>
<string>iMac</string>
<key>SMproductname</key>
<string>iMac13,1</string>
<key>SMboardproduct</key>
<string>Mac-FC02E91DDD3FA6A4</string>
<key>SMserial</key>
<string></string>
<key>SMbiosversion</key>
<string>MultiBeast.tonymacx86.com</string>
</dict>
</plist>
plist>

The SMboardproduct key is one I copied from the AGPM kext plist and corresponds to the iMac13,1 model specification. I believe it will be that addition that allows the board to pass the OS checks.

Never had the extra "sleep" issue. However, if you download the "Pleasesleep" application and then put your video applications into the "exceptions" preference maybe that might help?

On the other thing about the extra option of network wake, I have that with Mac Pro and iMac.

Wow !! It works. I'm installing now. Let me get back to you again after install and test the performance/status too.

and for the too much sleep well issue, Yes it's gone. I think that it just happen somehow..
and extra option of network wake, It's showing now as I'm with IMAC13,1 :) Get back to you after change to Mac pro3,1 later.

thank you
