@kaabob

I had this issue too with Installation fail. I was only able to solve that issue by Installing from scratch.

I can confirm, This guide is short & works, tested by myself.

1. - Mountain Lion 10.8.0 (USB Flash drive)
2. - Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Update 1 (Big file like 600MB)
3. - Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Update 2 (small file like 20MB)
4. - Official nVidia Drivers for Mountain Lion 10.8.2
5. - Added OpenCL patch via Terminal command
6. - MultiBeast - pre-edited DSDT for my Motherboard from TonyMacx86 Team.
7. - MultiBeast - add on installation to make my Hackintosh Complete:
(FakeSMC & FakeSMC Plugins, Networks, Bootloader Chimera, Generate CPU States, 1080p Display resolution, System definition Mac Pro 3.1).

I have a External Audio Interface so no need for appleHDA, as my m-Audio drivers do good job.

Everything is working perfect!

Hackintosh: - Mac Pro (System definition 3.1)
System: - Mountain Lion 10.8.2
Bootloader: - Chimera v1.11.1
MB: - Gigabyte x58a-ud3r r2 Bios FF
CPU: - Intel 960 (3.30GHz) Quad-Core
GraphicsnVidia - GeForce GTS 450 OC (1GB) DDR5
Ram - Corsair 6GB DDR3 (1600mhz) -
Geekbench: - Score10836

cheers

Might hold out until a future release before I install from scratch again. Everything seems to be working fine, it just shows up as an 'install fail'. I should have checked the log files to see what happened. O well.

EDIT: Maybe because I had TuxeraNTFS installed. I read somewhere in this thread that it should have been disabled before an update.
EDIT2: Found the offending KEXT and now Multibeast is fine. http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/60792-multibeast-installation-failed-4.html

MacMan - Can I make a suggestion for MultiBeast? Please add a way to print the options that have been selected before applying to the installation. Print to file would be fine. Just need a way to document and do a post mortem.

Thanks for adding 1080p option. That fixed my build.

[h=1]I just got the GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 board, I cant seem to get the onboard ethernet and the audio to work correctly. Can someone assist me and let me know the correct options to select? I used the latest Multibeast 5.1 with the unibeast installation with Mountain Lion 10.8.[/h]

... particularly ternymac1's build

Guys! this is a IMPORTANT note! also Tonymacx86 Team should know and maybe add this to the Frontpage.

After many days no, weeeeeeeeeks i found finally what the problem is for the BlackScreen after DeepSleep wake up.

And guess what it was? "XQuartz"

So if you have XQuartz installed and running as default server, it will break the DeepSleep.

I can confirm this 100% because i rebooted and tested the DeepSleep right away after every install i made after having Mountain Lion 10.8.2 working with DeepSleep on my Hackintosh.

So XQuartz need to be Fixed!

Maybe someone could contact the envelopers to fix this. As i have spend now to much time on this and need some sleep.

Again, it's XQuartz that gives me a Blackscreen on waking up after DeepSleep.

Hope this will save a lot of users a lot of Time now that you all know what the problem is for DeepSleep.

Cheers
