I've installed the Windows 8 Release Preview on a separate HDD while the ML HDD was disconnected. The installation went fine, updates went fine, but when I reconnected my ML HDD and tried to boot to Windows from Chimera, I ran into a BSOD.

(Thank you Microsoft for leaving almost no details -__-)

So has anyone managed to dual boot Windows 8 with Mountain Lion? I've read that Windows 8 now uses "secure boot" which requires an OS to have a signed key in system firmware to work. (read http://www.readwriteweb.com/enterprise/2011/09/windows-8-spells-trouble-for-l.php for more information). Is there a workaround for that?

Have you tried to press F12 when you power on ur system, and select Windows drive to boot instead of booting the OS X drive and use Chimera to boot Windows?

(Sorry for the late response. I've been inactive lately.)

Booting directly from the Windows HDD when the ML HDD was still connected, didn't help. Windows still ran into a BSOD.

I'm not going to install Windows 8 on my ML HDD. I'd rather keep both OS's separated.

Recently I've upgraded it to Windows 8 Pro, but it still has the same problem, so it has something to do with that safe booting.
