Thanks for the info. I'm building something extremely similar.

My last "to-do" is to make it so that I can access my iTunes library from both Windows and OSX. Any suggestions on how to do that would be welcomed!

I plan on doing something similar, however I only plan on adding music to the library from within OSX (I'm only using windows for gaming).

Based on some of these articles, my plan is to:

• Keep library files on OSX hard drive (HFS+ formatted)
• Install boot camp HFS+ drivers in Windows (Only allow you to read from HFS+, not write to it)
• Copy over library files to Windows hard drive (NTFS formatted) when itunes starts in Windows

This way, if something goes wrong, only my windows itunes library can get corrupted as the osx one is never overwritten.

Yeah, I saw that solution. Didn't seem too elegant to me.

I'm in the process of creating an iTunes Syncing program that actually syncs songs to another device. I could probably re-use a lot of the code from that project to create a program that will go through and compare the two libraries, and sync them programmatically based on the locations of the music as seen from each system.

If I create this program, I will let you guys know.

What is your boot time? I have the same motherboard and processor as your's but with hd4000 graphics. Once I get past chimera's screen , it takes me 35 seconds to get to the osx password prompt. And I find that quite a lot compared to what I have been reading on that forum for equivalent builds.

My boot time to get from selecting my OSX drive to the password prompt is about 5 seconds. In other words, it is very fast.

One thing you can do is boot in verbose mode (-v) and see what command it is hanging on. Then maybe search on these forums for whatever part of the boot seems to be hanging up. At least that's what I would try.

It gets to the point where it says "macx-swap on success" , then stays some 30 secs here and then gets to the osx prompt. I am actively checking other threads , next step would be to check in var/log, though I am afraid I am not technical enough to understand what is going on there

Unfortunately I'm not either. I would suggest maybe making a new thread, maybe in the "General Help" forum. Hopefully someone with the know-how will be able to respond to ya.

I tried to get sleep working with the boot0md file. No dice. I'm using Chimera 1.11. I can boot to Windows 7 just fine, but when I try to sleep it just drops to the lock screen.

My windows disk is disk1 so the path I gave for -u is /dev/rdisk1

fidsk440 appears to run fine.

The windows partition is active.

Any thoughts?

Just wanted to say thanks. I looked into other threads and tried the BIOS settings there, but the damned thing wouldn't work. Tried your BIOS settings (I have pretty much the same thing, except with a Sandisk SSD), and it worked perfectly.

According to Cobra's MultiBeast configuration snapshot in the original post build description, Cobra is using the default system identification (MacPro3,1) which is used as part of the defaults when you selection UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation. See page 3 of the MultiBeast Features document.
