Hi,
i have Sony vaio e series laptop with Intel® Core™ i5-480M Processor 2.66GHz, 4 GB Ram ,1 gb graphic card ..but when i boot my laptop through iboot and insert a mac os dvd it gives me system halted error .....please help me

Is this Snow Leopard disc one that came with a Mac or a retail purchased version?

Mac discs will not work at all to install on anything other than a Mac, often just the one they came with, because they are system recovery discs.

No its not original Mac OS DVD......can i install mac with this DVD ?????????????????/

Purchased Retail Software Installation Methods Only.
No Discussions About or Links To Pirated Software.

I wouldn't talk about using a pirated copy...

If it is not the Snow Leopard retail DVD, we cannot discuss it here. Please buy a Snow Leopard retail DVD from Apple.

Okay, well, I on the other hand own the Snow Leopard retail and have made numerous Hackintoshes in the past, however, this particular laptop is being a doucher. So, instead of just saying, "Nope, no help for you!" don't even bother commenting unless you're going to consider people like me who have the SAME problem on different platforms under different circumstances.

You should read the forum rules instead of pretending to act like a victim.

Splatterman5 and vishalchouhan19

May I suggest that you post a laptop question to the laptop forum and not the desktop support forum.

Thank you...
