I am planning on making a Hackintosh and i need a good graphics card that is Mountain lion compatible. I would like this graphics card to be cheap and able to play games such as battlefield. My parts consist of:

GIGABYTE GA-X79-UD5 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA

Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost)

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 (CMPSU-430CXV2) 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

I would also like to know if all my parts are compatible with each other, and should i change any of my parts.

I also would like to know if this Power Supply is enough power for my build, and if not, what is a good cheap power supply for my build?

Thanks

Why are you building a system with an X79 chipset and the 3820? You will get better performance from a Z77 chipset and a 3770K. It will also be a lot cheaper.

A GTX 660 ti or 670 would both be good choices.

430W is not enough. You should get a 600W one and that will be enough.

im a big amd guy so the 6850 or 6870

AMD HD 6870 works great, or go with nVidia GTX 660 Ti, 670 or 680 if you want higher performance. 430W is definitely not enough. My theory is that you can never have too much power. I have a Corsair 1200W power supply when my system could easily get by with less than half that. Don't skimp on the power supply because not enough could trash your whole system.

Thanks for all the replies. The reason why I am going with this motherboard is because it is capable of housing 64 gigs of ram. I have decided to go with the RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-730SS 730W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply

and the

GTX 660 ti graphics card

I also wanted to know if i will be needing any extra fans or heat sinks for my cpu or for my case, Thanks.

P.S. Will i be needing any extra cables for my PSU?

P.S.S. Is it possible to have windows and Mountain lion, and i choose which one i want to use at start up. This would be so i can play some games that are only windows compatible. I know that there is a windows out there that is only capable of reading 32 gigs of ram, anybody know of one that i can run using my 64 gigs of ram?

Also does anyone know if i would need a separate wifi card so i can connect to wifi?

GTX 460, 500 series and 600 series should be work fine with your system.

If you are considering ATI, the best one is Radeon 6850.

400 / 500 series No! Some Fermi chipsets are not supported anymore and you may find yourself posting in the hundredandplenty post thread of non-supported cards. Rather go the 600 series (Kepler) route - although way overpriced, they are known to be supported OOB. (660Ti) although cards with 2GB or more still need a patch to enable OpenCL.

ATI= Agreed. A friend is running the 6850 and says it's an awesome card in it's price range.

If i use the 660ti, do i need to tweak the settings of it or does it work out of the box?
