When I try to install with unibeast the installer never comes up and the screen goes black and then into power save mode on both monitors.

I was able to install using the onboard video but could not boot with the dual 580s. I need the 580s so this would not be acceptable for me.

This system installed Lion 10.7.4 with Bridgehelper with everything in the machine with no problems!!

Please help me.

I just completed my build with the same board and CPU as you but with a single 560ti. When installing I too had the problem with both monitors going to seep so I installed with a single monitor connected to my motherboard's DVI port. After installation I was able to boot up using my 560ti without problems.

I think your problem lies in the fact that Lion is not compatible with NVIDIA 5xx cards without tweaking, I am using Mountain Lion which supports my 560ti (and I presume other 5xx cards) out of the box. Also note that with ML you will not need bridgehelper.

How do I determine if my GTX 580s are compatible with ML?

Best method I can think of is to install ML and try it. Note that you will not be able to use SLI under any version in OSX if that is what you are looking to do.

I use SLI in Windows 7. I am not worried about SLI for ML.

Cool, Hopefully Mountain Lion works for you, works great on my build.

I installed ML on my Z77MX-D3H with a GTX 550ti and whenever I would boot the same thing would happen. Before giving up on the dual cards you might want to try and boot with PCIRootUID=0 as a boot flag. Let me know if that helps!

I was finally able to boot the Unibeast drive and install by using the following:

-v PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes

I installed and booted back to the thumb drive and then booted the ML partition using the same as above. I have not run multibeast yet and will do so soon.

My question is can anyone tell my why that combination worked for me?

And thanks for all of the help from everyone so far!

Hi, i have a GTX 580, how do I get this run on ML? When I try to install with unibeast, the screen goes black on monitor.

Sorry for my English, i from Germany

Boot from your unibeast thumb drive.

At the screen to select the USB drive, type the following:

-v PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes

This is what worked for me to install with my setup.

Good luck!
