I've searched for working examples of ivy bridge + discrete hdmi audio, but haven't found anything.

To anyone that has an ivy bridge system with hdmi audio + video from a discrete graphics card, I'd like to know what build has worked for you.

Thanks in advance!

My current build (3770k + ga-z77-ds3h + 570 Ti) doesn't seem to support it. So, I'm hoping that someone's had success with either a different mobo, different gpu, or both.

Does a 3770K/p8z77i deluxe/gtx 570 hd system with HDMI audio qualify? OS X HDMI audio will not work on your or any z77-ds3h system until you do the dsdt edits.

Toleda,
What about the new UEFI BIOS for my MoBo? When I install this, then no DSDT will be required anymore. Does that mean, I have to follow your guide for encoded DD / DTS (which is working now), but without the DSDT part?

Thank you
Even with UEFI, you still have a dsdt. The functionality provided by the native dsdt may satisfy your needs. HDMI audio is not available in the native dsdt. With or without UEFI, a HDMI audio edited dsdt is required for HDMI audio in OS X.

Thanks

If I would extract the vanilla "UEFI" DSDT after the BIOS Update, would the required DSDT-edits for HDMI-sound be the same as described in your guide?

I am running out of ideas with my attempts to get HDMI audio working with my new GA-Z77X-UP5 TH with an Zotac GTX680.
It seems as if this UEFI bios is a bit different from my old GA-H61N-UBSB3. So the guide didn't work for my new system right now.

I already built a DSDT working and having no errors or warnings. It already has a PEGP, but simply replacing it with the generic patch doesn't work.
Even a replacement of the Device(PEGP) with the generic code leads to an error due to an already existing _PWR in a Scope (?) definition.

@Toleda: I attached my IOReg and the "vanilla" DSDT.dsl for this configuration. It would be nice if you could have a look on it.

I think this wonderful new board in combination with a discrete Nvidia graphics card will be a popular combination for new builders.
Perhaps you could help a lot of others too.

Thanks in advance,

Yicker
