(Solved) P8Z68-V Unable to boot after MB161

Tried again following a couple different posts here and there and I got it.

Reinstalled MultiBeast (from the working LION side- choose an option then click install, you'll get the further option to change the drive you want it on, change the drive and it goes back to the pick menu) with the following settings:
Audio-
Unified Device (ALC8xxHDA) Not Legacy
Non-DSDT HDAEnabler- ALC892

Misc-
FAKESMC
FakeSmc Plugins- Motherboard, AMD, HW Monitor

Network-
HNak

Before rebooting back to attempt the ML, I copied SSDT.aml from working Lion, _removed_ DSDT.aml from ML Drive/Extras, renamed the org.chameleon and smbios.plists to .old files, brought over the ones from Working Lion.

Rebooted with -v -f and its working- I'm typing this from ML!!

One may ask why I got rid of my DSDT? Simple- I was able to boot into ML without it with the Unibeast stick, but as soon as I set up the system to use it (trial and error); I couldn't boot past the errors I listed previously.

Hope this helps someone.

Working Audio, Network. Have to reenable Bluetooth on the bios to see if it'll work. QE/Ci? I doubt it- YouTube doesn't work and that's not promising.

Edit: Re-enabled bluetooth, did the old ath3k-firmware-uploader trick from an old lion forum here, works.
Rebooted after attempting to install Essentials.pkg again (failed) to fix a couple Mail and Facetime etc apps, Youtube working. No longer crashing when I right click in safari, either.

Did you installed FakeSMC from Multibeast too? Its under Kexts & Enablers -> Miscellaneous -> FakeSMC.

I did not, as UserDSDT option does that already?

It should. Another one to check is if you've NullCPUPowerManagement kext installed. This is needed if you're not using a patched BIOS. And best is to download the latest Chimera from the download section too since the one in Multibeast 4.6.1 is an older version.

The only issue with this is I have to go through the entire install again as my ML install is completely borked. I'll give it a shot though (installing only FakeSMC and NullCPUManagement with the modified DSDT).

I believe in one of my attempts I tried the newest Chimera, but will report back regardless.

Thanks for your time, wiraone.

No dice.

Hangs on NullCPUManagement::Start now-

I'll google and see what I can come up with. I think I may try flashing my bios to the modified one just to remove the nullCPUmanagement issue.

Edit: Flashed the Bios, no discernible difference *removed NullCpuManagement
Trying again with the NullCPUManagement back

Edit 2: Replaced the NullCPU, disabled the Bluetooth controller from bios- now frozen at IOBlueToothHCI Start. Going to try to remove the bluetooth nexts and reboot with a -f.

Edit 3: Still hung after NullCpu::start. I'm out of ideas.

I have the exact same problem. If I install a modified bios, crashes:-v shows it hangs with no error just after the "crypto" PASS section.

I can start Lion, for example, only with the bios 1004.

Someone who could help me and HardRoom?

Please, guys!

I have the P8Z68 V Pro with modded BIOS, so I don't know that my experiences are much help.

I can get an install working, but my issue is with my HD6950, which just white screens on me.

Back when I did mod the bios I forgot to remove NullCPUManagement kext and couldn't boot, but once I got rid of that I was fine, and has been great since.
I have always run with the onboard Bluetooth disabled in BIOS, it seemed to cause a lot of grief.
If I can remember anything else I'll pop it in here.
