Wow! Glad you guys remembered those games, as I thought I was the only one. I had most of the games you mentioned.

Yeah. Sammy Lightfoot rocked. I loved the music in that game. Yep, Hard Hat Mack and Montezuma's Revenge were also favorites too.. I liked the Mario Bros game too. Other games I liked were Conan, Castle Wolfenstein I and II, Ultima 1 to 5, Bard's Tale, Autoduel, Bruce Lee etc. I had this one weird game called Bilestoad where you were a gladiator fighting opponents. It was rather gory but it was all green blood, when you hit someone, it sometimes dismembered them. I loved my Larry Bird versus Dr J game, using my brown and orange joystick. But by far my favorite game, as you mentioned, was Kareteka (along with Prince of Persia). Broderbund the software company was one of my favorites.

I was big time into those text adventures too, like the Scott Adams text adventures. Haha, I finally solved "Voodoo Castle" only recently via an emulator. And of course I had a lot of the Infocom games, like Zork, Infidel, etc. I loved the packaging in those Infocom games, with maps, and various clues like matchbooks, the "Don't Panic" button for Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Fun stuff!

Thanks for that link to VirtualApple. I'll check that site out.

I'm going to check out that site as well. Maybe it's time I finally got somewhere in Robots of Dawn; I could never get anywhere in it, but then again I mostly typed in crude insults and epithets.

I'm currently rockin' a 13.3 inch MacBook Pro. Hopefully in a few months I can gather enough funds to get an actual iMac as I want to get rid of the ginormous tower to save some space. Also, I won't have to worry about every little updating potentially breaking my system :p

Started with a Mac Mini G4 (probably a month before they went to Intel, the bastards!), and the halo effect took over. I then purchased my Macbook, and eventually sold the Mini to a neighbor. The Macbook led to an iPhone 3g, and I picked up a G3 iBook for my step-daughter. She used that for about 8 months until it died (I was too tired to take it apart and put it back together yet again), and so she got my Macbook, and I upgraded to a refurbed 13" MBP that I'm currently typing on.
Now attempting to enjoy the hackintosh experience.

First Apple I used was a IIc
In college I used a Mac 128
First Mac I owned was a Classic with 4MB RAM and a 40MB external SCSI
Upgraded that from a 68000 to a 68030 with an external display.
7100 PowerPC
G4 867
12" G3 600 iBook
12" G4 867
iMac C2D 2.16
MacBook Air (v1)
Hack HTPC - G31-ES2L, E5200, 4GB, 8400 GS
Hack iTunes / t*****t server - Atom 330, 4GB

iPods:
3rd gen 40GB
1st gen Shuffle 512MB
1st gen Nano 2GB
2nd gen Touch 8GB

Looking forward to the iPad.

Wow that's a lot of Macs! Interesting that you started to go Hackintosh right after the Intel switch. How does that Atom machine work with OS X? I installed on my Mom's Dell Mini 9, and it ran great, but a bit slower than my P4 desktop.

Missing from the list above are all the Macs that I have used at work, starting with a MacPlus, a 2Ci and several PowerPC towers that I cant remember the names of as they were so generic.

I just got into the Hackintosh thing last year, as I tend to keep my machines for 4 to 5 years.

Both machines are 100 % stable, although both have an issue with Bonjour file sharing that will not allow me to connect via AFP to the machines remotely. Screen sharing works, and Teleport also works. The Atom is on 24/7 and I reboot it every 90 days or so, just to make sure it will. The only other issue with the Atom is the crappy graphics which are slow and occasionally I get artifacts or stuck blocks (this might be that its connected to a 1440 X 900 display). I am sure that If I took the time I could get it sorted out, but its not that big of a deal and I would rather use the machine than mess with it, so it is stuck at 10.5.8.

Both machines were built by installing the OS onto an external drive connected to my iMac, then installing EFI etc with UniversalInstaller app from PCWiz. Very similar to your MultiBeast, which I plan to use when I get all the parts for the machine in my sig.

It took me all of 3 days after I had built my first hackintosh for me to buy a macbookpro. Then I converted the whole household, and two of my siblings too.

Credit goes to the Hackintosh initiative for converting me.

Once you go OS X...

But seriously, it is so true. I recommend to any Windows fan- try OS X for a week- you really will never go back fully, if ever. If you can allow yourself time to get used to it, there are so many things to love about it.
