pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Hi, Anybody knows what the best way is to use sidecar? Currently I use the hack based on iMacPro but I can't get it to work. Will it even work with SMBIOS iMacPro? Based on the info from Apple it works but I also read on several hackintosh forums that it doesn't work with SMBIOS iMacPro and need to swap to an iMac19,1 SMBIOS So, I need some guidance what the best way is to get it working on a new iPadPro 12.9 5th gen.

Read staring here, because you won't have a T2 chip you will have to change the SYMBIOS (and enable the iGPU in headless mode) at least according to these posts. #14

Correct. You need to use iMac19,1 and enable IGPU.

Swapped to 19,1 and enabled iGPU and everything is working like a charm! Thx.

Be aware that using iMac19,1 breaks DRM, meaning you won't be able to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, Apple TV+, etc.

DRM works on iMacPro1,1...

Does anybody have a good tip for a decent case for this build which is as small as possible, something Mac studio like or something that can be transported easily. I am planning to put all of my hdds in a Sabrant 5bay enclosure and have the hackintosh with my Radeon VII in a separate enclosure.

Maybe this?

Maybe something a little bit cheaper

This one is chunkier but it looks cool...

I've done a build with the following case for a friend. It's very high quality but there's not much room internally to work with...

I use the NR200, which is a SFF ITX (and some MATX) case that takes almost any GPU. It’s $100-ish now on Amazon but commonly sells for $60.
