Asus Z690 ProArt Creator WiFi (Thunderbolt 4) + i7-12700K + AMD RX 6800 XT

My 6600 XT works great, plug and play with the single bootloader Flag. Now I just enabled the Multi-monitor option in the BIOS to use Intel quick sync in Windows with OBS encoding. I hope that doesn’t cause OSX to freak.
Are you using Asus Pro Art Z690 Creator Wifi? Could you sent me your EFI or/and your BIOS config? I'm losing my mind with this.

I think it's very risky, because these BIOS are already running for more than 1 year. Now what Raid option do we have for Mac, outside of HihgPoint?
Very sorry to hear about your issues with this card. I used an older model back in 2014/15, don't remember which one, but I remember having driver issues in my real Mac. I could be remembering this incorrectly, but I believe the driver was getting blocked by macOS security. I had to go in and manually remove the drivers, then use a new installer for the drivers, before I would get the prompt to allow the kext to load. This was back when interactions with 3rd party kexts were more difficult. Not sure if Highpoint is using a stock driver in macOS or if you're using an installer, but you might want to double check your Security settings to see if there's a prompt to allow the kext to load.

Side note, Highpoint support was difficult to say the least. That card only lasted a couple of years. In 25 years, it was the only non ATTO card I ever used, and I regretted it. Tried to save some money, and it didn't pay off. My need for add-in cards has decreased over the years, but I can say while not cheap, ATTO made great quality stuff, and their support was always excellent. Might want to take a look at the ATTO ExpressSAS® H1208GT card.

Thank you very much @gandem

Good news, after a lot of fight with Highpoint, which I sent to hell, because I said if you want to change the BIOS as you did, you should alert before making the changes, because I would have a choice to update or not.

Well, after they said that there was no way to downgrade, today to my surprise after messing with them, they sent me a BIOS Factory Default version, which is to be done via DOS, which I did and that's it.. matter resolved and the 3740A has returned to live and beautifully enter Hackintosh.

But it's good to know about ATTO, I'm going to Miami on the 20th and I'm thinking about getting something different from what I'm working on today with Highpoint.

One of the alternatives I'm thinking about and I've already tested is to put 3 M2 cards of 4 TB each to work in RAID 0, I've already tested it on M2 WD SN850X of 1 TB and they work very well with ASUS .

The idea is to take 3 SN850X cards and put them in RAID 0.

But now it's time to move on..thank you all for your help.

I want to try a RAID0 with my Asus HyperCard

I am using the a Z690 Gaming-E, no Thunderbolt but quite stable, my RX 6600 XT is the MSI brand, I basically am using the EFI from here and a custom USB port map. I don’t have any devices to test 20Gb/sec or 10Gb/sec speeds however.

Thank you very much @gandem

FYI- I'm running 3 NVMe drives (2TB FireCuda 530 each) to have a 6TB Raid 0 volume for my media. I have mostly excellent results, but every once in a while, I see decreased speed on the read side. I'm not sure why this happens, but I do experience it.

@gandem Thanks for the information, I even did a simple RAID with the two 850x to see the performance result, but it was as if I had only one.. transfer rate and recording in the range of 6000 .... I thought I would get something between 10,000 to 12,000 but I couldn't. But 6,000 is good, I use RAID, but to have a single volume, besides we don't have M.2 with 10 12TB yet..

A/A: Please add a driver for this in macOS!
