Asus Z690 ProArt Creator WiFi (Thunderbolt 4) + i7-12700K + AMD RX 6800 XT

@CaseySJ I can see macOS Ventura 13.0 available for download and install. Can we just do a standard upgrade from the OS and will it work?. Have OC 0.8.3 installed already. My hardware configuration is exactly similiar to yours?
It's best to upgrade to OpenCore 0.8.5. This can be done with HackinDROM 2.1.4 by first mounting the EFI partition, then right-clicking in this space to select Update.

Upgrade to latest OpenCore 0.8.5 using HackinDROM's "update" feature described here:

To enable Intel i225-V Ethernet port, simply follow these instructions:

B550 has i211 I think. It's there a possibility to make it work now on Ventura using this method?

Unfortunately macOS requires AppleVTD for more and more devices. On AMD systems the implementation of VT-d is different, and macOS does not seem to support it. We can still use a USB-to-2.5GbE Ethernet adapter on Ryzen.

update your opencore and kexts and you should be good to go
I updated my z690i 's OC and kexts by HackinDROM, when I try to upgrade Venture from 12.6 , stuck at the beginning (1/4 loading bar with white apple logo)...I can still boot into 12.6(just a 5language warning before boot)

First thing to try:
  • If SecureBootModel is Enabled, try Disabling it -- and vice-versa.

Here everything working except my Highpoint 3740 RAID card where I have everything stored.

I've tried everything, several slots, bios changes etc.

The drive is being loaded, it just isn't mounted and doesn't appear in the disk utility, which always appeared when I had my z390. It's very strange, could this be some SSDT or some PCI configuration in the EFI that could be blocking the mount?

I tested all SSDT, turning it on and off 1 by 1... nothing... But the card appears in the system report and is loaded.

I can't go to HighPoint because when they know it's Hackintosh, they refuse to give any information.

If anyone is having or has had a similar problem let me know.

Thanks.
I have reviewed your previous posts regarding this issue. Let me start with these questions:
  • When was the card purchased? Approximate month and year?
  • Has the card's firmware been upgraded since it was purchased?
  • If so, which version of firmware is installed on the HighPoint 3740?
  • Firmware 1.0.5 and newer is necessary because it supports Above 4G Decoding. If older firmware is installed, try disabling Above 4G Decoding in Asus ProArt motherboard BIOS.
  • Also, please confirm that Vt-D is enabled in Asus ProArt BIOS.

Hi @CaseySJ

Thanks for helping as always.

The 3740 card was purchased in 2020, 2 years old and it worked fine on the z390 designare.

Yes the FW is version 1.15, in contact with Highpoint there is a version 1.16.

I think you're on the right path, maybe I shouldn't have updated FW on it.

There's a way to revert and get an old FW, if you know where I can find it.Yes VT-D is activated.

I await your help.

Thanks.
