[Guide] Lenovo Ideapad S340 Laptop on Catalina

Hello, am I the only one experiencing the brightness problem? I can't change the brightness.
Monterrey 12.3.1
Brightness works fine for me. Sorry for asking the obvious, could it be the Fn key?

I've updated my github Repo, and it works well for OSX Ventura now.

Greetings, I am writing through google translator =) My Lenovo s340 config is stock, replaced by wi-fi. I tried your Efi and after installing it in the boot area it works until the first reboot. I get a black screen. There is also the question of how to make the OS selection only by f12, so that opencore does not see the installed OS. Please tell me what and where to correct? thank you in advance!

hi,
I too get the occasional black screen (no backlight) on a fresh boot. I have not been able to fix it.

If you get a black screen, you just let the computer sit for 5 mins, and the screen backlight will turn on, on it's own. Subsequently, the backlight works perfectly.

I do not completely understand the 2nd question. Did you copy the EFI folder to your internal drive already ?

I have 2 ssds, on one win 11 on another macOS, I would like to make sure that win is loaded via native boot and macos is loaded via opencore (to start immediately without selecting parameters) yes, efi on the disk. although I think I'll figure it out, I read the instructions and there it seems like you can set the min time, and the OS will start itself

Have you added -igfxblr to boot-args (NVRAM section)?

Well... I added the flag, and it seems to have fixed the problem!
Thanks for pointing it out... sometimes you need to be pointed at the obvious.

(I say seems to have fixed the problem because the problem is intermittent. I havent encountered it in my quick tests, but will keep a watch and report back after some more tests)

Right, check the bios settings for boot disk selection, and boot selection timeout.

Yep, I’m slowly getting used to the open-core, I set the download to 1 second, I thought this window could be completely removed, but no))) I changed the version of the macbook, as in my opinion. The processor is more suitable for 15.2. A couple of reboots and the system began to heat up and slow down less, but it's still slower than Catalina on a clover ... although I think I need to test and fine-tune the system for a couple of days. btw i added "-igfxblr to boot-args" and boot is now normal without black screen and 5 minute wait. If I throw off the EFI with my changes, can you tell me what else can be changed there exactly for my laptop configuration?

I can confirm, this fixes the backlight problem. Many thanks for pointing it out.
