Fun with your Hackintosh: Stable Diffusion and AI Generated Images

If you haven't heard, the world recently changed and we can now use our home computers to quickly create AI generated images. This tool runs really well on a Hackintosh with high end ATI Video cards and you can get an image in 30 seconds or less.

You need two things to get started:

1. This Install script.
2. The current trained model named "sd-v1-4.ckpt" from https://huggingface.co/

After you run the install script, install the model, and start the WebUI you will have a web interface for creating images.

Note: If you have an M1 Mac you can get https://diffusionbee.com/ but it doesn't have as many features, like negative prompts.

Here is a small sample of AI generated images based on "roosters"

Exactly, I am just testing art styles right now, I am testing about 2000 different styles of painters. Van Gogh was #2 on the list.

Either make it executable:

chmod 755 setup_mac.sh
./setup_mac.sh

or use this to run the script

sh setup_mac.sh

I'm quite happy that AI Art and Artists are taking over the world!, even AI-Da gets to talk to the UK Government.

I think this is a scary development tbh. Not a while ago I had seen someone online had asked Dall-E (the AI art generator) to draw a self-portait (of how it thought it looked itself). It came up (rather surprisingly) as a very artistic image of a young 20 year-old woman.
