This is currently my old HP Elite 8300 CMT.
I'm still using with clover tho (works better than opencore for some reason).

Still on my original 2014 hack, although with upgraded GPU: GA-Z97X-UD7-TH, i7 4790S, RX 570 Pulse 8GB, 32 GB DDR3, multiple SSD SATA, etc. Currently running Clover/Mojave for maximum ProTools compatibility and stability, but in process on OpenCore/Big Sur upgrade (which is a bit of a bear.) ProTools is not really that stable on Monterey, and I prefer to stay an OS or two back for safety ... and let the geniuses live on the bleeding edge.
That's exactly my point..
I'm also staying away from Big Sur/Monterey/Ventura because they don't really seem to work great on my system. Especially Big Sur cause it gives me weird usb issues..so..no thanks.
I'd rather stay on Catalina for that matter. Much better stability.

No, my hacintosh it was 8 years hold. Since apple M1 release, i bought a mac mini (16gb) in March and it's fast enough for my use (including rendering 4K videos) and power consumption is low. By another side, new OS are getting optimized for arm cpu's.

Hacintosh machine it was converted in a simple Linux mint cinnamon installation and it rocks! For the price of mac mini it's not anymore making sense to buy components to make another hacintosh (new MB, CPU, RAM at least). Some graphics cards prices are on these days one entire computer! Personal opinion, of course.

It was a good experience, in another context. Thank by all at this webpage support. It was a good learning. I was using Clover (with recent fw) but I have a feeling that new installations with OpenCore got more complex than before.

I ordered a refurb Mac Studio with AppleCare+ this morning. That likely spells the end for my last Dell i7 9020 (USFF) Hack. I put 4 of those old Dells in use the last couple of years thanks to tsr96's easy to follow guides. They're still fine for most everything but they're all running Catalina. 3 of the 4 have been shelved.

I bought a base M1 Mini in 2020 and loved it. But sold it to my brother in 2021 because I was on the road, and got a base M1 Air. Sold him the Air a couple of weeks ago because I'm working at home now. Tried getting by with Hacks and a 2014 Mini but I was spoiled by the M1s. Gave in and ordered the Studio when it came back in refurb stock.

Thanks to everyone here for the support and great info. I'll keep checking in to see if any of my gaming PCs might serve me well as Hacks in the future.

Im still going strong, thanks to you guys on my Z77 triple-boot system. It's almost 11 years old and it's a pity that I had to disconnect my G-force GTX660 because I wanted to run Catalina. Windows 10 Runs on the 256GB masta disc, Ubuntu on a separate SSD and my Hackintosh on another SSD.
I have a 1TB data drive running for all 3 systems.

Fall of 2012 Gigabyte Z77 DS3H with i5 3570k. (see profile on left). It has been my only computer all this time. Since I still run some 32-bit software, Mojave is the end of the line for me. I believe the machine has run every version of macOS from 10.8 through the current 10.14.6 except for 10.10 (bleh). I switched from HD4000 graphics to a bus-powered 2GB Radeon RX 560 when I upgraded my TV to 4k.

Huh, I still use similar itx hack as yours.

GA-H87N-WIFI, E3-1230v3, GTX760.

i Use Core 2 Duo Laptop and Desktop
