pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I'm away from the studio for some days now. But when I come back I'll reset bios settings and start from scratch there.
In gpu, I have set primary-> automatic and iGPU-> enabled
I'll try to set primary to PCI-E. Maybe that's the problem.
I did this since with primary set to PCI-E I couldn't enter the bios, cause the screen was black.
Thx for helping!

If you want iGPU enabled, I suggest switching to iMac18,1 system definition.

Does anyone know if the decklink
cards work with this system? I am
planning to add a reference monitor to my hackintosh. My primary gpu is a Radeon VII

Ok thx! What are pros and cons for igpu enabled? Is there a benefit for any apps like premiere or fcpx or in my case for logic pro x?

I don't know if Intel Quick Sync is faster or the RX 580 is faster for FCPX exports.

It would have no impact on Logic Pro whether IGPU is enabled or disabled.

If it works in real Macs, I see no reason why it wouldn't work on your hack.

Ok! So the next time I'm in the Studio I'll try system definition imac 18,1 or try with imac Pro 1,1 and disable igpu. Maybe it solves the issue with USB ports not working when vt-d enabled...
Although I do not really understand how virtualization is connected to the USB ports.

To change system definition, do I just need to write imac 18,1 in propertree or oc Configurator?

Thx a lot

Yes. When I change system definition, I also generate new Serial, Board Serial, and UUID.
Ok! Good to know. As when I do that I have to remove a lot of plugins from my iLok...
Will give it a shot on my 2nd os drive!

Thx
