Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

@lightmanrt,

It's possible that latest BIOS no longer has a DMAR table (Direct Memory Access Remap). In that case we can uncheck both of the following:
  • OpenCore Configurator --> ACPI --> Add --> SSDT-DMAR.aml
  • OpenCore Configurator --> ACPI --> Delete --> DMAR
After rebooting, run IORegistryExplorer and see if AppleVTD is still enabled and both WiFi and Ethernet ports are still working.

Actually, I tried that just before your post and it does work. Ethernet works, Apple tv works. But note, I'm back at F7 because F8 didn't work. That message never posted when I was on F7 before I tried F8. That message did appear on F8 but it just sat there without boot so I went back to F7. I'm sure i am missing something. Ill stay with F7!!

Thanks!!

This just means:
  • BIOS F7 has a DMAR table, hence OpenCore succeeds in finding and deleting it
  • BIOS F8 does not have DMAR, hence OpenCore does not find it and reports an error because it cannot delete what does not exist

I have not been very clear in my posts. The message also appears when I switch back to F7. What i was trying to say was that I never had the ACPI message in F7 but after I tried F8 and reverted back to F7, the the ACPI message still posted even in F7 BIOS. That's what I am confused about. Unchecking delete DMAR gets rid of the message in F7.

Casey,

Thank you for getting back so fast and helping me with my thought process. F8 BIOS does work now as long as I have Delete DMAR unchecked.

ARCTIC Reports Potential Defect - ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II
I use an ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II in my Gigabyte Z690 Aero G build. ARCTIC has just identified a manufacturing defect in some of their ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II coolers made between May 2021 and March 2022. The gasket between the copper cooling plate and the head assembly could, over a period of time, degrade and cause "gunk" to form within the system. This could degrade the cooling capabilities of the cooler.

For details, and to determine if you purchased an affected unit, go to their web site and enter the model you purchased during the May 2021 - March 2022 time period.

If your unit contains a bad gasket, they will provide a free kit to use to replace the gasket.

My ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II, purchased in January 2022, is involved and I will be receiving a repair kit.

I hope this helps others who may have used one of these coolers.

Thanks for letting us know! Mine was affected too; just filled out the form.

Anyone dual booting Windows and macOS with BIOS F8. I reset all the BIOS settings but the macOS NVMe doesn't show up in boot overrides, only Windows Management and no other UEFI.
