[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Finally purchased a new keyboard, but by the time I recieved it the text at the bottom of the Gigabyte flash screen has disappeared. So now I cannot even enter the BIOS menu!

What 's the best option here?

Update... Ok, managed to get into BIOS boot menu. But still missing text (Del, F2 and F12 then pressing F12) below Gigabyte splash screen. Any reason for this?
Funky indeed, I've never had that experience. If it doesn't have to do with your Display settings (?) then I think I would first go to Optimized Settings and see if it comes back. If that doesn't work, reset the BIOS by clearing CMOS. Before doing that (clearing CMOS), perhaps you should wait for alternative instructions from others.

Hi Casey,
You might want to add this to your troubleshooting for BMD Drivers in Monterey. Copied from the BMD forum. I can confirm it works.

After installing latest video desktop driver before rebooting, open terminal, and paste this:
Code:
sudo mv /Library/Application\ Support/Blackmagic\ Design/Blackmagic\ DeckLink/Signed\ Extensions/BlackmagicIO.kext /Library/Extensions
Then allow it to load. It should prompt you to do that after the step above,
This will install the Kext, as the new non-kext way does not include the drivers for Decklink Cards.

Hi.
I hope everyone is enjoying themselves.
I’ve updated my system using HackinDROM but I ran into a problem as I did not have enough space on my EFI to update.
I cleaned the old save on my EFI and managed to update.
But now, I cannot get my Bluetooth dongle to work anymore.
I tried to reset it but without luck.
Did I miss something regarding Bluetooth lately ?
Is the IntelBT Patch more stable now ?

Thanks.

Interesting but as I am a heavy user of Continuity features, I am better with my dongle.
I truly don't understand what I did wrong.

Is it Broadcom based ? What is the exact model ?

Yes it's Broadcom based.
It is a no-name dongle PANBT400
Were you using AirportBrcmFixup.kext?

Can you post a screenshot of OpenCore Configurator --> Kernel

Hi! Thanks @CaseySJ for all your work here, this Golden Build description has gotten me through the years :)

I recently (and successfully) managed to upgrade to Monterey 12.5, OC 0.8.3, using the Intel BT/WiFi using the recent guides. Amazing! And so clean feeling.

Only problem is, my Thunderbolt ports stopped working. I'm attaching some OC Configurator screenshots. (You'll notice I tried adding in some kexts/acpi from my pre-upgrade set-up before switching to the EFI you posted here)

Thanks for any advice! Never had an issue with the TB ports over all these years and I'm struggling to find the issue.

Hello @xtrell

Regarding the Thunderbolt ports, let’s take a look at IOregistryExplorer—> RP05 section. Simply run IORegistryExplorer and scroll (not search) down to RP05, then post a screenshot.

Which Thunderbolt device(s) are you using? Do they work if connected and powered up before booting the system?

Which version of BIOS is installed?

Also, in the ACPI section of config.plist, we should disable the last SSDT (Aquantia) if there’s no Aquantia 10GbE card installed in a PCIe slot.
