having the same issue, installer can’t see the target drive when booting from USB. Installer on desktop sees it fine, but just goes into boot loop.
Under Misc - Security - make sure Securebootmodel is on either Default or your Mac smbios example j60 for Mac Pro 7.1. Then reboot and you should be able to update. I had that same issue and mine was set to disabled

Thanks for the help, securebootmodel wasn't set to default so I changed that. I don't understand what you mean by SMBIOS J60 Mac Pro7,1?, where do you get J60 from?.

Upgraded from a cloned working Monterey 12.4 to 13.0 Ventura public beta but networking ain't working ;)

Tried to install SmallTreeIntel8259x.kext in /Library/Extensions just in case, reboot but nothing.

Intel® X550-AT2 Dual 10GbE.

Anyone knows how this could be fixed? Just in case.

Thanks.

Did that allow the USB installer to see the target drive?

Also, which version of OC are you using?
OpenCore 0.8.3 and Lilu 1.6.2. Still couldn’t see the target drive.

Do you have the ConnectDrivers set to True or False?

I may be in the middle of a conversation and maybe you already stated this. Sorry if that's the case but just in case.

This is due a Bios issue in Gigabyte Designare 10G.

Therefore setting ConnectDrivers=false could be a long term solution for us: if/when we need to do a new install, we set it back to True, put up with the BIOS boot issue while installing ...

Sorry, it is J160. Securebootmodel is a drop down box, you can select your SMBIOS there for your type of system. This was the only thing I had to change other than using Lily 1.6.2 and OC 0.8.3, then the update went thru.

Having the same issue, the installer boot just fine (it takes longer than I remembered) but I'm not seeing the other drives

Yes I've run out of ideas now, Installer from Recovery just doesn't see the drive and It definitely takes longer to load this time. Config Validator for OC 0.8.3 can't find any issues so I'm a bit stumped, I've attached my EFI below if anyone has any ideas.
