Casey, I see you reacted to my message but there's no reply, don't know if you missed to reply to it when doing a multiple quote in your last post.Don't you consider it a (big?) limitation the fact that, using a 12th gen Intel processor with E-cores active, tasks might be assigned

Because macOS does not different between E-cores and P-cores, it treats them both the same. In my own experience (which includes running Linux and Windows in Parallels) I haven’t found this to be an issue. However, I use my system for personal computing rather than for work or professional computing.Casey, I see you reacted to my message but there's no reply, don't know if you missed to reply to it when doing a multiple quote in your last post.

If you have intense workflows that need to be performed consistently with the highest throughout, then it’s a good idea to disable the E-cores in BIOS. The remaining P-cores will still perform significantly faster than previous 9th, 10th and 11th generation processors.
Near the top of Post 1 please find a link/bullet saying:Should I be seeing the ability to update to OC 0.8.1 in Hackindrom yet? For some reason, I feel like I don't always see or get the option to update OC on my system (either in Catalina or Monterey). Running the latest v2.1.3.
Got it. I thought I had checked that, but apparently I missed the 'right-click' step. Thanks.Near the top of Post 1 please find a link/bullet saying:
Upgrade to latest OpenCore by following this guide
The upgrade procedure changed about two months ago thanks to the latest version of HackinDROM by @Inqnuam.
F5 is a good stable version with comet lake. F20+ are required if you want to use Rocket lake on z490, Rocket lake also enables pcie4.0 on the top m.2 slot but you have to explicitly enable Rocket Lake pcie4.0 m.2 support in the bios.Hi
I have tried to find a good overview of the different major BIOS versions for the Gigabyte Z490 VISION D, but have not been able to find any.
So, is there anyone else who has found a comparison, of the differences when looking at the BIOS versions in relation to Opencore and macOS:
- F5
- F20
- F21
