The app’s authorization has been revoked (High Sierra NVIDIA graphics certificates expired)

Even if the certificate has been officially renewed - which was not the problem, it had been revoked - the MacRumours posts imply a new certificate has been authorised and Nvidia has repackaged the same driver - 387.10.10.10.40.140.
The revoked Nvidia corporate certificates dated to 2015 and 2018 from other reports. Those reports also were that the certificates had been compromised and used to sign non-Nvidia files and apps. It is not clear at this point who pushed the revocation - Nvidia, Apple, or the Certificate Authority - but the effect is the same once a verification of the installer package or the driver kexts is triggered. The is not the same as dealing with an expired certificate, that can usually be overridden. The original download for 387.10.10.10.40.140 has a certificate that would have expired in October of this year.

After all the (successful) troubleshooting on my Mini-ITX 1 computer (below), I just booted my Mini-ITX 3 computer this morning and found its "old" nVidia installation had been invalidated. So I installed the "Google-downloaded" new WebDriver, and all is fixed on Mini-ITX 3. Results below:

downgrading from High Sierra to Sierra won't help

although someone from here:

spoke to nvidia and got a working new driver direct from nvidia that seems to have worked for him
This has literally fixed the problem on my 1060..

Unfortunatly after several days of frustration.. knowing that I won't be building a newer setup; because of lack any available AMD GPUs that would still work that aren't painfully expensive.

It was a fun couple of years, but this has pretty much put an end to my hachintosh chapter.. It's no longer worth the hardware issues like thesem, that have nothing to do with my inabilities. And out of date application that won't run their current versions.
I went through several versions of OSX with upgraded hackintoch workstations for the past 9 years or so.
Probably mostly on luck and enough google-fu to fix most common issues.

I ended up ordering antoher Mac Studio yesterday, since I still need to do my job (I already annexed hers for now, since she didn't want a hackintoch for obvious reasons).
So i've joined the "pureblood darkside" again.. hopefully I can get another 6 months out of my current build before it becomes a simple gaming / video encoding machine.

Thank you guys for the information out there.
because of I wouldn't have commited on building one if I didn't see the amount of succesful builds years ago.

If you look ahead, my guess is that eventually, maybe even in "Ventura," Apple will add support for AMD's Navi 24 (they already support Navi 21 in Big Sur and Navi 23 in Monterey 12.1+). That would add the RX 6400 (currently MSRP is $160) to MacOS-supported Radeon graphics cards, which would be great for me. Performance is slightly better than my GTX 1050 TI OC (see Heaven & Valley results above). But the support is just not there yet. And I need low-profile cards for my Mini-ITX 1 and Mini-ITX 3 below.

The Mac Studios are awesome, though.

Hi guys, solution found

Update High Sierra till lates 17G14042
Cleanup NVIDIA Web driver (WEB-Drive-Toolkit From Github)
Make this in terminal console:
sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Extensions/NVDAStartupWeb.kext
sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Extensions/NVDAStartupWeb.kext
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/ && sudo kextcache -u /
sudo touch /Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Add boot arguments in clover configurator as in attached screenshot
Add kext as in attached screenshot
Reboot (If you have black screen add temporary boot atgument nv_disable=1)
Install official driver 387.10.10.10.40.140

Reboot and Be Happy
Do you know if something similar can be done in OpenCore
I'm Running Opencore 0.8.1 with OSX 10.13.6 (High sierra) and a GTX 1050ti

Thank you!

just install it
"Feartech" - Thanks for your shared the web driver.
It's fully perfect now for my high Sierra, you saved my day.
Thank you !
However, I wish to try upgrade to macOS Big Sur or macOS Monterey, any idea that there are any web drivers for these both OS?
Or still need to wait for the latest Nvidia web driver announcement?

There is no official path to upgrade to a version of macOS later than High Sierra and keep a Nvidia video card active with the Web Drivers. With Mojave Apple removed the stub frameworks that the Web Drivers need to connect with, and Apple did not give Nvidia a developers license that could be used to create the necessary driver kexts.

The last time Nvidia released a Mac Web Driver package was about 2 years ago to match up with the last security update Apple released for High Sierra. All they did this time was repackage that release with a new certificate to replace the revoked one.

The only Nvidia support available in Mojave through Big Sur is for GPUs that Apple used as OEM chips. That is only Kepler based Geforce GT 600 and 700 series cards. All Nvidia support is gone from Monterey.

I have seen the occasional mention of hacks being done to the existing Web Drivers to let them run on later versions of the macOS than High Sierra, but have no idea how successful those have been. Recently Nvidia released open source drivers, possibly someone could modify the Linux source to be compatible with recent versions of macOS, but I don't know if anyone is taking that approach. Realistically the practical approach to going to an OS later than High Sierra is an AMD card supported by the Apple drivers.
