[GUIDE] OC 10.13.6 Z490 Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme + Core i5 10400 / i9 11900K + Nvidia GTX 1060

I tried the latest suggestions, the card still doesn't work :(

Hi there.

For what it is worth ...

In my experience the i225-V will not work with either High Sierra or Mojave.

It will work with Catalina and a device-ID spoof.

Catalina supports the i225-LM version, so if we spoof the i225-V as an LM, macOS works with it. To do this we only need to inject the correct device-ID.

Earlier macOS versions did not support any variant of i225 so there is nothing there to spoof to.

For late versions of Big Sur onwards there is no need for a spoof.

Hope that helps.

:)

Once again I want to thank Middleman for his great work, thanks UtterDisbelief and thanks to the whole tonymacx86 community.
I am thinking of buying a adapter usb giga lan so I can work with Mojave for music production.
I installed BigSur, and thanks to Middleman easy installation, no problem i7 11700k and the lan is ok.
I enclose the tests performed with a basic overclock (4.2), it seems that the results are brilliant :).

Glad to hear you've finally sorted it, great job! You're welcome

makes no mention of running buildmacosinstall.py.....?

You are on Win11? I am guessing you’ve not set your system environment variables. This video should help (see around 9mins in) >

Hi Middleman,

Thank you for helping me with the installation last year, it's been working fine this year. But it seems that there has been a big situation in the past two days. At present, the response from most people seems to be that the drivers' code signing certificate of Nvidia GTX960 has expired. Do you have the same situation?

Hi bajayhans,

I cannot confirm as I have since changed the card on my Z490 system. But I would say yes I believe the Nvidia Pascal cards are no longer supported in macOS so would exhibit the same code signing issue. Unfortunately it looks like it has been revoked either by Nvidia or Apple.

Thank you for your support,

I will switch to AMD's graphics card first and check if there are other conditions.

Hi everyone. I know this is an old thread but I've hit a wall trying to run High Sierra.

I have 2 EFI's that both boot.

One does work with Webdrivers (and I think Ethernet), but not a single USB port.

The other, All USB ports work, but no ethernet, and WebDrivers don't work.

I wanted to combine them into one, cohesive EFI where Webdrivers, Ethernet, and USB all work.

I have tried: Swapping and Mixing a whole bunch of combinations of ACPI's, Kexts, and Drivers, using every different string of Boot Args I can think of, Disabling SIP, Reinstalling the OS, etc.

I feel like the issue is simple, but outside of my scope.

If anyone with more skill can help, I'd really appreciate it. I've attached Both EFI's, my PCI Device files from Hackintool, and (just in case) my USBToolBox kexts.

Thanks to everyone who posted before.
