Hi,

First thing, just a big thanks to everyone here who has made installing Monterey possible, and the support I have received is awesome.

Quick intro, I had been trying to install Monterey on a Supermicro X10SAE motherboard but it would just not happen, I decided to change it and bought an MSI z97-g45 gaming motherboard that is working really well. Except for the E2205 onboard nic.

I thought getting it working would be just a a matter of installing the proper kext, but I had not completely read regarding issues with the kext, low and behold I find this:

Known Issues

  • MSI Z97 G45 Gaming w/ E2205 must use release v2.1.0

I have been trying to get my hands on that version of the kext, but first I have not been able to find it, and second it seems to be a clover kext.

As I understand it, clover and OC kexts are not interchangeable, is this correct ?

Does anyone here have a copy of that version kext that works with OC ?

Can a clover kext be modified to work with OC ?

I know I can just buy a nic that works, but I am trying to use all the parts I have as much as possible.

Any help getting this Killer E2205 Gigabit LAN controller working is very welcome.

Thanks,

Manolo
