[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

You could enable the XHCI port limit patch, reboot and then run Hackintool to determine which port your internal header is on. That has to be included in your USB ports kext for BT to function. You can make your own, specific to your system. Snik's is rather complicated as it includes all kinds of different Macs, not just the iMac 13,2.
Thanks! I found some sleep issues as well, so I went through the Dortania OpenCore USB Mapping guide, and that fixed both sleep and Bluetooth!

Thank you. I will try the following:

1. Grab latest OC and update my EFI on an USB to make sure BS boots
2. Clone BS on a spare SSD
3. Update as usual

I will report back here.
Hi, taskrov
What's the result? It's Monterey works well? Can you share your EFI folder files here?

Ditto on the results. I have a Radeon RX 560 4 GB.

Hi @trs96,

Hope you are doing great.

I installed Big Sur on my hp 8300 using open core. I am unable to connect using Ethernet. I remember following all the steps of the OpenCore Guide. For now, I am using a TP-Link TL WN725N WiFi device but WiFi signals are flaky sometimes due to distance from the router. Therefore, want to configure and use Ethernet.

I have plugged the ethernet cable and the light is also blinking, but it seems it is not being recognized here.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure you've got the IntelMausi ethernet kext in kexts/other. If you do, you might need to try a different version of that kext. You should also run your config.plist through OCvalidate to make sure everything is correct too.

Sorry for the delay. I am still not finished. I created an OC 0.7.9 Monterey install USB with and successfully installed Monterey on a blank disk, for testing purposes. I am no expert so I am proceeding cautiously. My next step is to copy the EFI to the BS backup and get it to boot up. If that works I will update it to Monterey. Once that works I will do the same with my working BS installation. I will then report back and post my EFI.

Success. Attached is the EFI folder (using OC 0.7.9) I used to create the Monterey install USB stick. I then used it to update my 11.6.4 BS installation. Everything appears to work as it did with BS. You just have to update the PlatformInfo section. Use MacPro6,1.

Great, My setup also have a Radeon RX 560. Can't wait to see your testing result.

@LisaAlterEgo Thank you. I switched back to iMac15,1 and used your USBPortsIM151.kext and the USB3 ports now work. I finally noticed that I was not referencing it correctly in config.plist.
Just curious if you have this working 100% with MacPro6'1.

Setting up the USB drive now. Should be interesting to see how everything works. Id like to go back to Monterey full time.

I am all installed. Doesnt seem to be any issues as of right now. Everything was smooth. Thank you @taskrov for the incentive to test it out. Also I am on OC 0.8.0.
