This thread is NOT specific to laptops only. Do not delete this thread. Please move it and keep it in the standard desktops section, as it is NOT specific to only laptops. I tried posting there earlier, and it was deleted. It said it was moved, but it wasn't.

I receive the message "Mac OS X Installer is Incomplete". I have tried the script thing, and setting the time back to as far as 2010, with no noticeable difference.

Wondering if there is even a solution/fix for this.

A post *will* be removed if it breaks any of the site rules, either by a Moderator or one of the site Admins or Owners.

I have checked your original post for you and it was not removed because of the "Mac Installer..." error.

As for the problem itself, this can be caused by a few problems. Most common is an expired security certificate, and as you know, the way around this is to temporarily disconnect from the Internet (to avoid a system phone-home to check the time) and use the Terminal command "date" to go back to a time around when the macOS version was released.

It can also be caused by checksum failures or pirated copies of the OS.

If the size of the installer is as it is stated in the Mac App Store then the above is usually the reason. If you only have a download "Stub" of a few MB's then you will need to use a utility such as GibMacOS to fetch a full installer from the Apple servers.

( I have not checked to see if GibMacOs can find Mavericks. The oldest "official" installer is Yosemite -
